Last one was on Jan 8, so its been a little less than 3 mths. I go often, but still get the feeling of dread when I get in there. Im guessing its common. Anyone else deal with the same feelings?
Yes, I'll go next week. I took the greatest risk I've ever taken in my life, recently. Add to that the fact that my friend has contracted HIV, I'm so nervous I could float. Still, I want to go in with the attitude that I have chosen to take the risks that I took, and that I bear full responsibility for them. There's no shame in that.
Well, eating day old taco bell that I left sitting out on a counter was the greatest risk I've ever taken in my life, and that ended up fine...so i'm sure you'll be ok too.
Congratulations, Mikey!!! I tested negative for HIV today! I didn't need anyone to tell me what risk I took, so I was completely resigned to the idea that I might have been poz. I'm looking at this as a new lease on life. I'm going out to buy a bunch of condoms from different brands, and test them out to see which one I like best. I'm going to pick up a bottle of KY while I'm at it, too! Here I am. 36 years old! Having lived life to the fullest, and strong and sound as a bull!!! :sunny:
yep, me 2 - just had a test which was clear, and it was 2 years since my last, so, upto 3 months back I'm clear - and in the last 3 months? - well there have been a few but i'm always using condoms so it's just the sperm in the mouth and swallowing aspects. Congrats to all you who tested clear Simon :sunny:
Glad neither of you were poz. I contracted hepatitis C from a needle injecting drugs. I guess I got off lucky as I know so many people who are hiv positive or do have aids and got it in the same way I did hep.
Thanks, my liver is still pretty messed up but I have cleared the viral load from my body. If they test again after a certain amount of time I'm officially cured.
It'll never be 100% the same compared to an uneffected liver but it should continue to heal and be functional.
