It sounds like your recording skills aren't as great as your performing skills.

Are you overdubbing your voice singing back up? It sounds like there is flanging between the tracks.
The lead vocal track is hard to hear.

My criticism is of the recording technique.

If the slightly electronic edge to the recording is deliberate, then I withdraw my comments about your tech. skills. And refrain from making comments about your style choices. ("I don't like it" is not the same as "its bad" or "you should change it.")

It sounds like listening to you, simply playing your guitar and singing would be a good time.

 

ive never heard the original before. if I have, I dont remember it.. but I liked this version. little more Syd Barrett sound to me..

 

Thanks for the tips about the recording- it was my first recording so I really didn't know how to make a good recording without drowning it in effects, wich I did. I'm still practising some more with the recording techniques before I release my next song, wich will be an original.
