At one time years ago, if guys had tattoos, it either meant they got them for body enhancement or they had been in prision & they were done there by inmates.
Now things have changed. Young & old have or get them done for different reasons - just like piercings. I have seen some amazing tattoos but I personally wouldn't get any done. There are other ways to spend $'s to show individual personalities without changing body appearances or getting tattoos to impress or not?

I agree but i would never get a tattoo to impress someone. I would never get a pointless tattoo. Its just something i like and im into. Some girls are super turned off by it, but others like it. Its just hard to decide what path to take

There will always be girls who like tattoos, and girls who dislike tatoos. Nothing more to it.

    Depends on the girl.

Personally, I wouldn't do it because to get one is easier than having them removed in my humble opinion. If this girl doesn't work out you thus put yourself in a bind, with a girl you meet in the future who finds tattoos a turn off.

For Some Time Now In The US ,And Just Starting Here

In OZ, Is For Companies To Refuse To Employ People With Tattoos...:).

The Reason Given Is That People Who Get A Tattoo,

"LACK JUDGEMENT" And Therefore The Company Does Not Want Them.

Also There Are Restarunts Here That Will Not Admit Diners If They

    Have A Visable Tattoo.

I Strongly Advise You Against Getting Another One...:).

    Cheers Glen.

I don't like tattoos, but if the man is a good person, the tatoo can surely be overlooked, just ignored.

I dont understand this though, why discriminate on appearence? People should be allowed to do what they like to their bodies without the fear of judgement or predjudise in the workplace or even eating in a restraunt! It must be different in the UK as we can still work with tattoos, although some jobs will need them to be covered, but to not be able to eat in a public restraunt because of a bit of ink in your skin seems a little extreme! I have tattoos up both arms, they are big and on show when wearing sleeveless or short sleeved tops, I don't get much judgement from them, it seems much more acceptable over here.

I didn't read it that he was doing it to get a girl....more that he wants more tattoos but worries it will turn women off.

I like tattoos dependinng on what they are...I love a well designed sleeve(s) on a guy as long as he has nice arms to begin with, with nice muscles....there is a trainer at the gym like this and even my best friend who hates tattoos admits it looks damn hot on him. Mind you, on guys with nonmuscley arms I think it might look good..I also have the hots for the singer of Hedley and he has sleeves now as well....so I guess I'm not as biased as I thought on the muscle part.
I also think sleeves on some women are so sexy and hot, again depending on the design. I'm not a fan of blood and guts, skulls etc...but stuff that has meaning.
Sorry for the rambley post...just woke up.

Well, I would suppose it depends on the kind of girl you want. If you want the kinda chick who's turned off by tatts then it might not be a great idea. But if you want an open minded chick who digs them then it would probably help your efforts.

It's your decision in the end, and if something you like then why would you want to attract girls who don't?

the fuck? how does a business stay open that refuses to accept money from half the population?

what's next, separate drinking fountains? "tatters use back door" signs?

My husband has quite a few tattoos. Personally, I don't like them, however it never once put me off dating him at the time, and he has had more added since being with him over the years.

And I'll Tell You The Really Absurd Part, One Of The Owners, When

Interviewed By The Press Said That His Reason Was, He Didn't Want

"Riff-Raff" In His Restarunt, BUT, If The Patron Covered His/Her

Tattoos They Were Welcome To Dine There....

WTF, It's The Same Person For Gods Sake....

Some Would Say This Is A Case Of Dresscodes, But The Transition

From "Riff-Raff" To Welcome Diner, Just By Rolling Down Your Shirt

Sleeve, Or Turning Up Your Collar, Truly Confounds Me...:willy_nilly:

    Cheers Glen.

I don't like tattoos, most of them look kind of trashy.

It depends in the tattoos and the guys who have them. I don't like lots of little ones scattered or badly done ones. I prefer big pieces of art. It does totally depend on the guy though, I would never be attracted to someone specifically because he has a tattoo.
