I value money very little if at all.~ Is there are there places where I can do something for someone instead of 'giving them money' to get stuff like a place to sleep, electricity, water, food, lessons on how to live in the wild without harming any trees and animals, musical lessons, and anything?~
They're all different. Twin Oaks in Virginia is very organized; they assign everyone a work quota, and people can choose between income-generating labor, growing food, maintenance and kitchen work. They don't deal with money in the community. It might seem too formal for some people though. I mention that place because they're a successful commune that has a web site with lots of information: http://www.twinoaks.org/
Sounds alittle too organized and scheudlued for me.~ I believe in helping how I can when I'm needed, no need to make a schedule for it.~ I can't stand monotony or doing repetitive things *shiver*.~ But thank you very much for the information, I LOVE YOU!!! ^_^ :3
yes because i know personally i have a steady income for the rest of my life from the military, however i cannot do a lot of things like gardening etc... so i like to find people who can do those kinds of things and i will do boring things like knit or sew cook etc...
I know you have posted on my fourm but I just sent out a reply today for you =] Hope this helps and is what you are looking for. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=468832&f=57
A friend of mine was staying with a girl her age, in exchange for helping her with her jewelry making business. 15 hours a week of stripping wire got her a place to sleep, and food. It was called Work Trade. There is also a place called Couch Surfers. I think Work Trade is more up your alley.
Actually I was thinking something more personal a place where walking around in your natural state, having sex on the front lawn, randomly dancing to the beat of drums with the American flag tied around your penis and wearing a cowboy hat and nothing is welcome and everyone is free to talk about orgasms and anything they choose but we all pitch in and help each other out.~ I'm broke, I have $80 to my name as life-savings and it doesn't look like I'll be getting a job anytime soon since I've been trying for almost 3 years now.~ Besides, I have no desire to get a 'job' and make 'money', money is not what is going to bring me happiness, people will and do.~
No, but it will get you a plane ticket to where you can do all the above. Just saying. A motto I have come to appreciate is this: While I hate doing unpleasant things, I am willing to do them if it means I get to do pleasurable things. in other words--- I doubt very much that the place you want to be will just give you a plane/bus/train ticket/gas to get to them, or that you will just magically materialize where they are. So why not suffer through some 'job' to get a bit of 'money' so you CAN go off to the place you desire--- or perhaps START it.
