Why are most Hippies white?

This is a serious question. I don't mean to start trouble.

This has really bothered me. I am 30+ years old, a proud AFRICAN hippie woman, and I always end up having to socialize with white people in white circles!

Why doesn't the hippie lifestyle appeal to more Africans, and why don't more whites accept Africans into their hippie circles?

It almost seems like they are afraid of us. Because of what? Demographics? That's messed up. I want more proud AFRICAN women and men to be loving peace and love, but why don't we, and why don't hippies accept us? Is it because we're poor? Is it because we're too intimidating? :afro:

What are your thoughts?
