What Doc am I thinking of? It's been Bugging me for years.

It is from the late 90's. It is about a man who is from the Southern United States. The film maker knew him from something like a big brothers program and is now making him the subject of his documentary years later. The man who is the subject of the film is very poor. He uses drugs like Marijuana. He at some point in the film is charged with sexual assault of a minor for molesting his niece. He is retarded or at least has severe learning disabilities. At one point he cuts the breaks to his moms or wife's car but screws it up in some way. He visits his wife or girlfriend in the hospital and says something like; "You ever been hit by a man before?" Smack! " Well now you have". The name of the movie is either his name, like Bobby or Jimbo, or it is a synonym for Stupid or Idiot. Oh and he tries to make some kind of deal with the KKK for protection before going into jail for hurting the girl. Does anyone know the name of this film it is killing me. I've been looking for years. Please help.
