I live in chicago. i'm becoming more and more involved with the burning man community. i personally live on the southside, but there are many people across the city you can meet if you're interested. if you are interested in fire play, hooping, or perhaps some form of suspension, dancing, art, whatever! or just being involved in a loving, wonderful group of buners/ravers/hippies, then contact me :love: :sunny: we have many awesome events, including parties, grilled-cheese competitions, fire practice, hoop jams, full moon fire jams, festivals, arts&craft events, raves, drum circles, what have you. there are many places to see across the city, with beautiful people.

Might be interested in connecting during the summer. Still need to get a lot of things together in my life, but I've been evolving fast over these past few months. I imagine any money and transportation problems will be solved by then. If you're hitting up Summer Camp, I'll be there. Can't afford to wait another year and miss out on all the hype.
As do I, but the planets didn't align in support of my hopes of Lakes of Fire tickets. How did you fare, Jay? Did you do Chiditarod? Glad the scene's blowing up, but bummed lots of good folks and cool projects won't be there.

It's a great community! Sign up for the mailing lists at the site below and get in the loop (pardon the pun). Volunteer for some stuff, lots going on. Resonate 8.0 was a big Chicago Burning Man All-Night Freakfest at Metro/SmartBar this past weekend.
