navel piercing on a male

what do you think of navel piercing (belly button) on a male? I really like this piercing and thinking about getting it done.

who cares about being or looking masculint? thats a societal formed notion that certain things denote masculine or feminine and therefore must be followed. that sucks.

do what you want. be what you want. just be yourself and find happiness in who you are. (there first peirced naval i ever saw was on a male in junior high, he had done it himself the night before.)

 

yeah. you dont get piercings cause you're supposed to look as beautiful as possible. you get them because you want them. And if you really like that piercing, and you really want it, then go for it dude! dont let the people that thinks it will look gay or whatever, stop you. cause there's tons of them. If you feel like you want this no matter what, just go for it. You can always take it out if you ever regret your choice.

go for it then. just keep it clean and go to someone who will use clean equipment (or make sure everything clean and sterile if you do it yourself). if you need tips about teh after care, let me know or others here with them. (i love mine)

 

my ex has his belly peirced and i even met a few townie guys with it done so to be honest dont care what others say. i had mine done at 14 and i still got it in

 

I haven't met any male with navel piercing, but don't care what other people may think Yes, some people think it's not masculine, but my red polished toes are not masculine too, and I got lots of approving looks from girls

if you truly want it, get it. standards of femininity and masculinity are rediculous. if something makes you happy and is empowering, go for it.

 

As for the masculinity comments; most of the time, I know at least females find it so much cooler when a guy is comfortable with his masculinity like that (like when a dude wears a pink shirt, everyone's impressed. Of course, you cannot compare a flambuoyantly feminine article of clothes with a unisex piercing, but I'de say do it if you want)

 

man i think whatever feels true, perhaps the experience or having it done and then the experiences that come with it, will help to shape your life or some memories you'll hold tight for years to come. haahah sorry, me off on a tangent,
