neither is my son, which I find particularly surprising...since I am as addicted to books as I ever have been to anything...and I don't plan on giving up that! By God! My husband was an alcoholic and still loved to read. Hell, he was quite intelligent.

Right now I'm feeling like I've wound up giving up about every dang bad and fun thing I ever did. AND I'm really wanting a cigarette and a drink of liquor together right now. :cuss: :smash:

 

Not even audio books? I think all audio books should be narrated Morgan Freeman and/or Anthony Hopkins.

i am afraid there is a marked increase in brain failures lately, my mom had an aneurysm/stroke combo in 2011, she was not quite 20 when she had me. i have a friend from high school, we share our birthday, and he had a brain tumor behind his eye. they got it out, but they turned him away repeatedly and said he was just looking for prescription drugs. nobody expects it until they are much much older, but that can no longer be a guideline for whether or not to suspect brain problems.
