when i do gift someone,,, yes it is generally unique , maybe rare n not always thrifty

i would much rather do something physically with a person n no i dont mean sex wise,,, i mean quality time spending,,, campin, hikin,,, what have you,,, some times its something like picked flowers, ,,,, many a thing i have made just for someone special,,,, even something as dopey as a gift basket n just taking a persons own likes n putting them in yourself instead of ordering,,, if i buy things it is generally something locally made that is native to an area,,,,,, making cds of a persons favorite some sort of occation tunes,,,, so many things honestly,,,,
and as for receiving i would much rather have someone promise me a walk or hike or camping trip etc than clothes or movies or makeup n thoughtless n general gender based garbage

 

nope. we dont usually buy each other stuff for holidays though.

and dilli... as for make up being thoughtless...that's what i asked for and wanted for a half a year now so i dont consider it thoughtless. (i dont buy myself luxery items throughout the year so yeah, it was nice to get, but to each their own...gifts dont really mean that much to me... if i get something, i like it... if i dont, that's fine...spending time with someone i care about is enough)

lol wasnt just the make up that i thought pointless yes,,, mostly anyways,,, definitely thoughtless but some of the others n wasnt saying yours specifically,,,, were also thoughtless crap...

 

i like my robe, it's cold at home. the froo froo soap my sister-in-law made for me. the britneys spears cd i don't understand at all. i guess my gifts were very thoughtful. what they were thinking when they bought a spears cd is totally beyond me. but grandma's kinda goin' round the bend anymore.

 

oh well. i know christmas is too commercialized and sometimes phoney with the gifts but my family likes to give them... so, yah, its nice to have them.

 

For christmas I got outfits, gift card to best buy (25), gap(30), red robin and a free movie, a purse, makeup, pots and pans, cookbook, kitchen stuff, a handmade scarf, diamond earrings, diamond ring, salt and pepper shakers (I collect them ), 75 dollars of gas gift cards, this rosewood jewelry box and mexican jewelry inside of it.

 

And pajamas that I am wearing now along with some adorable clogs

 

my first guitar... it's an Acoustic (Lauren)... I love it tremendously!!! I also got underwear, sushi set, pj's, a lot of chocolate, bath stuff.... ummm I forget what else... ohyea hot chocolate packets and mugs... ummm lots more...

 

I got 6 new books, a cd, dvds, lotion, socks, candles, a jacket, wallet, and Oscar de le Renta pajama's that are so warm and soft.

 

Peace beads and alot of kuwl t-shits.....i even got a beatles poster !

 

i didnt really get to much as my family isnt making much money lately... my parents basically did their shopping at the Dollar store... so i got a bunch of candles, socks, boxers, stuff like that. Other than that I got some Swedish Chocolate called Milka, its hella good... and I got a Die Toten Hosen (the dead pants) CD... I <3 Die toten hosen. Overall it was a good xmas, we had lots of fooood.
an i got like 25 bux from my gramps.

I got a sick mother in law in the hospital ( her body isnt getting enough oxygen and she has bronchitis,pneumnia, and she is asthmatic.)

I got two BIG garbage bages full of baby clothes
I got to spend my x-mas weekend (thursday-tuesday) with a psychotic junkie who is annoying as hell and jealous of me cuz i am with her ex and we are starting a family.
I got to spend a total of 24 hrs in a car to drive up to and from georgia to see my mother in law.

the one only good thing that i got is.... a ring. My boyfriend proposed to me lastnight and gave me his mothers ring it was a perfect fit and he said that this was meant to be .

i got 300 dollars, a new bed, a digital camera, a dvd/vcr combo, a really cool optical light that has a fairy riding a dragonfly etched inside, a hanging candle holder, an aromatherapy scent thingie(dont know what it is called) some new jamies, a bottle of wine, a couple candles, doorbeads, a jewelry box, a fat jar for money, a piggie bank............keep in mind i have lots of family and exchange with my friends as well...
i feel like i got more than i deserve...but i also feel like i am in want of nothing now...except my own place.

oh yeah, i bought myself some books for christmas too.
