How to make this kind of dreads

    The pictures appear to be of a pretty girl with some young-ish dreads. It's impossible to get exactly the same dreads but if you have brown hair that's past your shoulders you can probably get into the right ballpark.

    At a guess I would think they were done with the "twist and rip" method or "T&R". The two most popular methods for starting dreads are T&R and backcomb. A quick google will bring up details on both of those methods. I'm guessing those are T&R because backcombed ones tend to be a little more short and stumpy when they're young, whereas those seem more loose and flowing.

    So you'll section off the hair into the size you want, use the T&R method... and then wait. It takes many months for dreadlocks to fully mature but I think the girl in the pictures dreads are probably less than a year old.

    I reckon those are about a week old y'know. Frizz calmed down but not fallen out yet.

    I would have said they were really young too. There aren't any loops so it doesn't look like there's been any shrinkage. But last time I guess an age of some dreads on here I had people jump down my throat with alternate opinions :p

    Those are baby! unless you want to put them in every morning they won't look like that for more than a month! xD
