The following day, the story was also published in the Iranian daily Jomhouri-ye Islami, as well as the Syrian daily Teshreen. The following are excerpts from the article: "Secret European military intelligence reports indicate the transformation of the American humanitarian mission in Iraq into a profitable trade in the American markets through the practice of American physicians extracting human organs from the dead and wounded, before they are put to death, for sale to medical centers in America. Do you have any evidence at all to back this claim up, or is it just another thing that you assume is true because it makes America look bad?
true or not... neither would suprise me. people do horrible things in wartime, and they always have. rape, theft, tourture... why wouldn't organ harvetsing be right in there.
I would imagine the organs would be rather useless. I'm sure someone with better facts and knowledge will correct me, but there is a time limit for harvested organs to be implanted. Otherwise they go bad. I'm thinking between 2 and 4 hours. Organs harvested on the battle fields of Iraq wouldn't have enough time to be used in this country. Direct flights alone between Iraq and the U.S. has to be much longer than 4 hours. If I counted correctly there are 9 time zones between Iraq and California. One the other hand, can any one really tell what is the filler in Hot Dogs and Lunch Meat these days? Eh, whatever [shrugs]...still better than carrot sticks and broccolli.
people do strange things. plus one never knows how it can be taken as far as organ harvesting (newly killed, almost dead, fatal injuries, research, or just plain trophy... like taking human body parts as war trophies is a new things...etc)
I wouldn't doubt it. It couldn't be happening on any large scale but is entirely possible and not above the American government to allow such horrible activity.
its nonsense to think that they would be harvesting organs during a war...............there are enough poor people around the world that could be harvested without all of the problems of trying that during a conflict. it is nothing more then propagada being spread to scare the Iraq population.
Perhaps, on an individual basis, soldiers on the edge do wierd and stupid things. Body parts as personal trophies - sick - but remotely possible. Of couse, this souvenir hunter needs his gatherings a secret from his fellow soldiers and officers. I wouldn't think they would want anyone this sick to be armed and fighting along side them. As an organized, systematic gathering for medical use - exceedingly doubtful. The logicistics by itself makes it very unlikely to impossible. The time required getting the parts to a hospital makes it unfeasable. Certainly by now the embedded reporters would have stumbled on this story. If that one Marine killing the wounded insurgent caused world wide comment and comdenation, then the risks of havesting organs, as an official policy, would make all that seem like tea time gossip at the garden club. A lot of hell would break loose. Even our allies would run for cover.
Some organs need to be transplanted in just a few hours (and all need to be taken from a body on life support) kept cold, but NEVER frozen, harvested in a totally sterile field and many cannot take a lot of rough handling in transport. The heart is about the strongest organ, the lungs and liver the most likely to die or be damaged. Also the donor has to be typed and crossmatched, tested for bloodborn diseases, ONLY die (or be braindead from) of something like a traumatic head injury, no poisonings, injuries which caused a lot of blood loss, or exposed the donor to risk of infection ect. The best donor is a healthy young person who has had a CLOSED head injury and is technically "alive" but brain dead. The COST alone of getting an organ from Iraq to the US would be incredible. I can't imagine this is true.
Remeber, the Saudi Government's newspaper printed two years ago that Jews are using the blood of Muslim children for passover dough. This myth has been circulating at least since the 6th century A.D. although it was prodominantly believed in Europe for a time and it was Christian children not Muslim. It is of course wrong, seeing as it is not Kosher to eat the blood of any animal, let alone man. You should not believe everything you read in the news, alot of it is made up, and the rest is spun to someone's political advantage.
And their also harvesting Iraqis sense of self worth to syndicate a robot with a larger then life persona they're building in a castle made of childrens bones.
This is turning into the Russo/Chechen war VERY fast, the Ruskies have been doing this for years in the war torn republic. U.S better watch themselves. I'm betting they're using them for their DNA bomb, oh yes, they ARE building it.
