This is something that eventually any Buddhist would encounter. It's about Dorje Shugden, the supposedly demon that the Dalai Lama has banned. I believe that everyone deserves to know both sides of the story and thus, they should at least learn about Dorje Shugden's origins before deciding that that he is bad. I am not going against the Dalai Lama or anything, but shouldnt we as Buddhists have a right investigate and learn before we actually believe in something? 10 out of 10 people out there who are against Dorje Shugden have no idea how he originated and who was his previous incarnation. They only know he's bad because the Dalai Lama says so. There are many resources on him online, so I am hoping that before anyone makes a judgement or decision, please do at least learn about him before deciding. Why am I posting this? Because, knowing 2 sides of the story is better than following one side blindly.
There's a comic about him that explains about who he is, his history and his functions here: http://www.dorjeshugden.com/downloads/texts/first-ever-dorje-shugden-comic-book/ In the western media, Dorje Shugden is demonized and he is being made to look like a demon (especially by the Dalai Lama's students) so information on the wiki may not be accurate. It would be a better idea to learn up on his history and background before deciding if he is bad or good. After all, wouldnt it be a really sad thing to hate something that you dont even know about?
Where is Dorggy Shuggy? I don't see it anywhere. How can Dalai Lama ban something which doesn't have any existance? Yeah right! Fucking NKT!
I am ex-Kadampa NKT and all I can say to you is don't believe the nonsense they write about Dorje. It's their way of indoctrinating you more and more into believing that the leader of their cult, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso ( got thrown out of Sera... ) is the new buddha. By worshipping Dorje they can succefully alienate themselves from the Buddhist world.
