anyone done it? it's not on erowid, but my friend can get some 10mg's for pretty cheap. i'll probabky give them a shot, but can anyone tell me how this compares to ritalin which is just methylphenidate?
havent heard of this one, and if it aint on erowid you're heading into uncharted waters! that said, adding a group to the methylphenidate molecule prob just means a stronger amphetamine...or something thatll make you trip your eyes nose and teeth off on...what was your friend prescribed them for?
oh well i guess ritalin is d,l-methylphenidate, so focalin is just the d isomer? i would assume that would make it more pure than ritalin, sort of like dexedrine is to adderall, would i be correct in assuming this?
oh i see, it's just listed under methylphenidate because it's really the same thing... i didn't realize that it was just an isolated form of it that is the most effective. i believe my friend knows someone who has ADD and can get 10mg focalin for like $2 a pill. i'll probably grab a couple and try them out, i hear the high is a little more similar to cocaine than amphetamine? obviously it's not cocaine but can anyone shed some light on this claim?
Ive heard its similar to cocaine, but in my experiences with Ritalin and Concerta, its not nearly as good.
I have absolutely no tolerance to any amphetamines and 60mg of Focal XR gets me feelin reeeeeeeally good
This is not likely to get you very high. This med was designed to leave out the "racey" part of norepinephrine reuptake. Its a designer med that help alertness but is not in the league with either coke or amphetamines. Prob not worth the effort. But certainly report back if its any different.
I use to have some 20mgXRs. Not worth taking if you want a high, its like all the speed with no fun . .
a friend told me that this compound is extremely euphoric....this guy hates methylphenidate, but told me that this focalin is more euphoric than coke.
I take focalin a few times a day, and I used it to get shit done. I can sit at my computer and work (iphone programmer) all day without caring about anything else- it's impossible to distract me. That and Vyvanse. Sooooo good. But if you're looking for a "party" drug, this will make you feel antisocial, awkward, and depressed.
Your assumption is correct, its accepted by physicians that Dexmethylphenidate is 2 times as potent as methylphenidate, however I don't completely agree. While it is noticably stronger, its not twice as strong IMO. Still worth every penny, as long as you are only spending a dollar per ten or fifteen milligrams.
Also, for those who are saying its like speed without the fun, try crushing the beads and eating or insufflating it. Enjoy!
