Anyways i have question what do you guys think of these products they taste the same as meat but most made from soy. Would you reccomend these as a good source of protein why they give meat taste? since i can put it between bread and eat i cant complain:)

Search for meat analogue, faux meat or fake meat and you will get many opinions.

I use them on occasion. I get an annual craving for sloppy joes, and TVP works for me on that. (Lentils get too soft, but are yummy)
I keep frozen veggie burgers through summer. I might go through four boxes a season.

When I had a kiddo at home, he liked the analogues, so I kept them around.
Sure they are easy, but they eventually taste like the box to me.

What matters is, do you like them, do they fill a need and do they help you. If so, have them by all means.

I don't really want the taste of meat, sure I liked it while I ate meat (except chicken, I always said it smelld like farts and tasted the same... and didn't really like beef much haha)
But I don't feel it is necessary for it to taste she same as un-spiced meat, the spices used on meat can be used on the "fake meat" and taste good :)
Also you don't need extra protein, you get protein from fruits and veggies and a lot from beans and nuts :)

when i first started to eat a vegetarian diet, i would eat the faux meat stuff a lot, but now i don't really like it. i'll have the odd veggie burger when i'm at a BBQ or something, but for the most part i just eat other things. especially since i've started eating fish, i just don't find that i need the meat replacements anymore.

You have to remember - those 'processed meat' flavors like bologna and sausage aren't necessarily the actual flavor of meat - but more spices and herbs. It's the same with faux meats.
Personally - I love the fake meats - for one - because they are easy to deal with and can give a veg/an the same ease and quickness available to meat eaters but with a healthier result for the body and the planet.
Let's face it - most folks who are veggie don't also live a mellow carefree life. It's necessary for us to be able to grab a quick sandwich or dog or burrito on the go as well. Or, to cook up something greasy and comfort style. The faux meats are a good alternative in these situations. I love me a vegan sloppy joe, philly cheese steak or bratwurst every once in awhile. And thanksgiving wouldn't be the same without a fat cruelty free tofurky filled with stuffing.
Viva the cruelty free proteins :)
