They say if you die in a dream...

That you die in real life. I can't be the only person that has heard this ridiculous statement.
I have died in a dream at the hands of an aggressive alien race, very realistic and very terrifying.
Have you ever died in a dream?

 

Maybe that means you were invaded by an alien and you are no longer yourself?

(no, I do not recalling having ever actually died in a dream).

 

I've died in a dream; I fell off a cliff. Then, afterward, I actually saw my funeral from a sort of birds-eye view like I were a ghost or something. It was strange.

 

Yeah, I think my mom used to tell me that if you died in a dream then you'd never wake up. I've never done it; probably 'cause my momma told me not to.

 

I have the dreams where I fall , lets say from a ladder , I wake up with a jolt. The belief is we all go out of body at night , that shake awake is the astral and phy. body going back togher . I've died in my dreams plenty of times. Sometimes I'll afterwards take over the body of a friend or someone nearby

 

I don't think it is true, but I know for a fact that when you die in real life, your dreams are dead too.

 

For a fact eh? So how many times have you personally died?

 

I've been shot in a dream before and the scene turned grey scale. The song "People are Strange" began to play and I left my body, just staring down at my lifeless corpse in a pool of blood as the scene began to zoom out like in a movie.

 

Have never died in a dream, so I can't say one way or another.

I always seem to wake up just before I die in a dream.

 

Not sure where the 'you might be an alien' thought comes in there, like a body snatcher only without knowledge of it? Not buying it, this dream was so realistic that I can still recall minor details after several years, which is very unusual for me. I'm planning on making into a short story. Both of my children have also had dreams of dieting, one of them was also an alien encounter....things that make you go hmmmm.

 

I recently had a dream and it was the closest I had ever come to actually dying in a dream. I had gone unconscious for no reason and fallen and I could feel myself begin to float up into the sky and then just as my soul was about to leave my body I woke up... But I do know many people who say they've died in dreams but I myself never have.
