There is a difference between feminism and what chadcr is talking about. Have you ever noticed that the really fucked up things always happen where women have no role? For example Catholic priests, or something like Penn State football. George Bush was not a women when he decided to go to Iraq and he probably didn't talk to many if any women about it. But at the same time there are times when a women could use the unique prescriptive of a man. This is the part a feminist would never admit, to them they would never need a man for anything, they do not trust their judgement. So in a way they are sort of the same. In order for their to be balance you need both male and female energy. Because of their natural tenancy to be more nurturing women can shy away from going into government or something where they know it is anything but nice. So it ends up decisions are made only by those thinking with a penis.

And you are absolutely right about drugs being illegal based on the subset of users they tend to attract, and the prejudices society holds against those groups of people... LSD must have really freaked them out; freaks with hair down to their asses, covered in tie-dye, extolling peace and love and marching on Washington thousands strong.. They didn't dare risk this happening again (after all it happened once and damned near lead to a revolution), this is why they quietly lumped psilocybin and mescaline in with LSD and quickly made them all illegal and have spent the proceeding 50+ years spending billions of tax-payer dollars trying foolishly to eradicate these things from the face of the Earth....

Alcohol is easily one of the most dangerous and destructive drugs on the planet. It's, quite literally, poison. I only drink when I have nothing else at my disposal.

 

I have seen more damage done to people from alcohol than from just about any other substance. The damage done to families is really hard to see.

Nothing against someone having a social time or even an all out drunk once in a while but if it becomes more than that it is damaging those who care for you, let alone your own body.

People have been drinking alcohol for like ever and ever. If it was /that/ bad for you I think we'd all be well aware, like cigarettes. But over here in Germany, I've seen, I've known and I still know old folk that start with half liters at the bier garten every morning and there's nothing wron with them. Those old ducks could probably drink me under the table.

sucks. that's how i originally got into pizza management, i was perfectly content to just deliver forever at that point.

ultimately i'm glad it happened. management sucked so bad that it became the kick in the ass i needed to figure out what i really wanted to do with myself and then actually go back to school and do it.
