Has anybody esle noticed the pot slang in the Harry Potter books? Boggarts, snitches, and doobies? So far, I'm on the 3rd book.
i have read all the Harry Potter books and am anxiously awaiting the next one to come out in July2005. i hear that she has to kill off Harry?????????? anyone else hear this because i may just have to cry
Harry makes JKR shitloads of money, so I strongly doubt he will be killed off. Unless, of course, he's ressurected in the book that follows. Two words spring to mind: 'marketing' and 'plot'.
She's been pretty clear about the Harry Potter books being a 7 book series. This will be book six. She's contradicted herself about whether Harry is going to make it to the end of the tale. At one point she swore that Harry, Ron and Hermione were safe. At another, she said that fans may have to accept the possibility that Harry may not survive. There's a revelation in book five that kind of makes me think that Harry may die near the end of the last book... it's a hunch.
I wish I could read book 4 and 5 for the first time, again! Those two blow really take it to another level, imo
Yes JKR does make alot of money off those books!! but yet they are so good!! I am also waiting for the next book to come out!! I didn't know it was coming out in June of this coming year though!! I can't wait!! Also, I think Harry might just have to die in the very last book...but who knows we'll just have to wait till it comes out!! I hope not though!! And also I love the 3rd book!! That one for some odd reason it my fav. one..strange uh? Well yeah thats just me!! lmao Love yall's!!!

I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I've read all 5 books (very much looking forward to book 6) at least 3 times each. (Currently reading Goblet of Fire again) and I never get tired of them. Each time I read them I pick up on something new that I missed before. I just really like the way they are written and they're so addictive.
Harry is my favourite character and books about him are my favourite toohttp://http://www.hogwartsnet.ru/forum/index.php?act=Search&nav=lv&CODE=show&searchid=62ff54cf473693c89df015a5a288d70f&search_in=topics&result_type=topics
Where exactly does the word "doobie" show up in the books? Maybe you're talking about the English version or something 'cause I don't remember reading it?(not sure about the punctuation lol. Part a question, part a statement). oh well. lol
Been awhile since I read them and my eldest step-son has them at his mom's, but isn't it the house elf, geez I can't remember - I made the thread 8 months ago. Anybody just read them?
I think what you are thinking about is Dobby the house elf, but in the Barry Trotter lampoon I think he IS called Doobie. Hope that clears it up for ya
