So we start home, me with one sandal on and one foot bare. Sampson scans the pavement for sharp objects as we walk. “You know, you’re going to get diseases from walking on the pavement like this. Syphilis, small pox, scarlet fever-”
“-AIDS”, I add. “I’m definitely getting AIDS from this.”

Hmmm..... ah it was just a story.

It resonated with me a little and the quote I posted reminded me of this forum....

People often say that I will get some kind of infection walking barefoot so that particular bit kind of struck me.

 

Seriously though - anyone got any bad infections from barefooting?

 

No never, and I've been going barefoot for years.
I got a nasty infection on a finger though from a Blackthorn bush...perhaps I should have been wearing gloves!
