Yes. I said it. Its not stated...but NZT=LSD.
Look what acid does. Its if every nerve ending is firing, we feel ,see, hear, sense so much more. It literally opens up the channels of the brain.
Thats how I see it. Anyone agree/disagree?

that movie did make me think about LSD, but i don't necessarily think they meant for NZT to be LSD. there are some differences, such as it remaining effective when taken everyday.

I disagree. Most people cannot function on LSD in everyday life. Problem solving can be difficult, math is out of the question, etc.

It's been quite a while since I've seen the movie but if I remember right it made him somewhat of a genius. You may feel like a genius on LSD, but to everyone else you don't make any sense. I cannot even figure out how to use simple tools on acid, tools that I use on a daily basis such as a telephone.

My last good acid trip I couldn't even figure out how to make my bed.....I gave up and slep on blankets wadded up into balls.

yup i love Limitless and i'm not a movie guy, but it's def not acid like. I'd say it's more like cocaine than anything, but have properties of many diff drugs.

It's fiction. But it may be a precursor to some drug of the future.

Well, i guess you all are generally right. But I think that the problem is one of harnessing the new vision that comes with Lsd. If one can get some control, then perhaps one may be able to solve problems or at least gain a new perspective.
I do get what you all are saying. acid really is great for the creative side of the brain, but not the analytical side. Anything free form , where one can wing it, relying on already mastered skills, usually muscle memory,ie musical instrument,painting,etc...will benefit from acid..cud lead to fruitful results. But I did struggle greatly when it came to having to deal with people on issues. I was tripping the other day and my neighbor was asking me about her dog, if I'd seen it...I just laughed and said something like ' yeah, shes prolly in that cloud over there, haha' she just gave me a scrunchy look and slammed the door, lmao.
Serves that bitch right for messin with a trippin fool! Nah, haha.
But on a serious note, one of my math teachers has produced results when on acid. He does not easily do maths while high, but he often gets insights that often get fleshed out later. Im talking serious maths here too...i study algebraic topology, galois groups,...real math! At 83, He's light years ahead of me, still trips and then takes notes and uses them later. So yes, some people can do maths on acid, or somehow work his left brain.

I think what the OP meant by 'LSD=NZT' is that it increases our brain processing power and enhances our physical sense.

I also think he meant specifically that: "the writers of the movie used NZT as a metaphor to show the public that LSD can be used in incredible ways, and unlock parts of our brain that we ourselves didn't even realize could exist."

    NZT causes life threatening withdrawals.

The thing that the movie suggests is you can manipulate brain/body chemistry in a way that gives you expanded awareness. It is a coincidence that LSD is such as can do it.
