it is sad. I saw that last night and thought yea he's pretty young and heart attacks are scary. But I mean he kinda was waiting for one. Sad tho. RIP.
Never watched the show, don't think I ever saw him act....but don't like to here of anyone's death like that. However, I was amazed that CBS national news dedicated about 15 to 20 minutes of their lead story to him this morning.

No offense to Gandolfini. This skit captures the essence of The Sopranos in an offbeat way. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqE7ZxH7BJE"]MADtv Sopranos on PAX TV - YouTube
heard about gandolfini's passing on amy goodman. never did pay much attention to the sopranos, but have learned posthumously about some interesting documentary projects he was involved in and his support of community media.
It's in the back of all americans minds that the mob exists and does some bad shit to good people as well as their own. This show was done well enough and made believable enough to peak and somewhat satisfy our interest in them, even though we all know that we're never going to meet any of them or be affected by them. At least,we HOPE NOT. The acting was excellant and definately showed an underbelly of the american scene that otherwise is speculation, even though fictionalised. RIP, JG.
