when/if you go to get a tattoo, is the decision to get a tattoo the first impulse and the tattoo itself secondary, or do you see a design or have one occur to you suddenly and then decide to get it tattooed on you? if the former, in that you fancy a tattoo and need inspiration, is there any place where you tend to go first? books, websites, museums, or just wander around? if you want inspiration, what do you look at in order to try and set a fire under your brain?
I have to think mine out, which is probably why I only have one as of yet. When I was a teen i was so set on getting an alien head with a fedora...I am so glad I didn't. Now, I have one of my favorite book quotes on the top of my arm so it doesn't get in the way of getting a job.
