Alright guys, i tried 1 pill (100 mg) and it made me feel good. I felt chill as fuck and it lowered my anxiety by 60-70% This drug is amazing for this purpose and i recommend it for anyone who wants some relief from anxiety. No bad effects at all just a lil light headed i was very active when i was on it though.

Ya at high doses it all but eliminated my anxiety and made me very talkative and a decent relaxed euphoric feeling.

Yeeah, Ive Been Using Neurotin For A Few Months, And This Shit Kicks Ass As A "Backround" High.. I Usually Take Around 3-4 300mg Pills In The Morning And Catch A Good Buzz... Staggering Works Good Too.. Lyrica Was Really Good, Less Pills To Take Cuz Of Its Bioavailability, But The Side Effects Were Bitch! Lol.. I Used To Take Around 10 Gabapentin A Day, Cuz Of Tolerance, And I Didn't Know About The Bioavalability.. Shit Is A Good High, I Highly Recommend It :p

    MEGA BUMP

I just want to get this thread going again as it has good basis. Was going to make my own but why not utilize search?
    OK

So what DOSES do you take this medication? WHY are you prescribed it? What EFFECTS do you get from the medication? Onset time? All of that stuff?

For me personally, dose varies. Prescribed it for anxiety/obsessive compulsive dissorder.

Bunch of effects in previous post are accurate. I get very lucid, even sligtly more emotional and impassioned about things. Feel some pain relief in higher doses. Its like a benzo and weed high combined with maybe some kinda GHB feel in a super mild way lol.

    I am prescribed 600mg 3x daily.

Mostly I take it like that on occasion i will dose anywhere from 2400mg-6000mg (which i am not sure about ever doing again as is pretty high dose me thinks.

    Share some shit.

Gaba potentiates benzodiazepins it seems like....

Feeling more like I ate 3 bars instead of only 1...interesting adds a kind of opiate sedation in a way.

Only ate 1200mg of gaba but still.

Anyone else have any experiences like that?

They make me feel kinda drunk. If I take them with Motrin it helps kill pain almost as good as a narcotic. If you take them at a job where you're on your feet all day you get no feet pain.

I'd say don't worry.. I was prescribed with 600mg per day at night because I couldn't sleep and because my benzo addiction too... and It really works.. it's not the same, but it's effective so...

no, Lyrica is pregabaline, and Neurontine is Gabapentine

I was prescribed this for migraine. You have to build up to an effective dose. I had just completed the ramp-up and started suffering from horrible blurry vision. I couldn't make out the features of a person standing five feet from me. More alarming to me, my dog was prescribed the same drug as gabapentin (sp) for pain from bone cancer. While it's speculation on my vet's part, she believes it caused him to have nerve shocks in his leg and he started gnawing his own leg off when no one told him to stop. The leg went gangrenous and we had to put him down. You couldn't pay me to get near that drug.

Oh, Gabapentin has been a Godsend. Ask anyone with diabetic neuropathy how it can get, especially in the feet and lower legs. It's not constant, thank God. It comes and goes. But it can come out of nowhere and hit you sometimes like a needle, or a hundred needles, or a scalpel, or an electrical storm in your feet. The Gabapentin has cut that down by about 75%. Thumbs up.

Really is a great medication for a number of things. Glad to see you enjoy it. Now that i think about it I think it might make my memory a little less sharp than it usually is, last few months at least I havent been recalling things as well as i usually do. And before anyone mentions it, in the last few months I have barely touched any other drugs at all.

Well, my normal dose is 400mg 3x per day. But I've also used it for Hydrocodone wd's. Very effective, but it requires (at least for me) 3000-4000mg per day. The first day on that is very pleasant. I've heard it described as a low-grade xtc buzz, but I wouldn't know because I've never done that. But it enhances music, eating, sex and interacting with other people. From the 2nd day onward it just knocks me silly and makes even the simplest of tasks more difficult. And as for short-term memory, forget about it. But when I go back to my regular dose I'm back to normal within a few days. One thing that worries me is the heavy urination at those higher doses, regardless of fluid intake. It's like your body is trying to expel it at all costs, and that can't be good long-term.
