Do you notice acid references in media alot more lately?

I ain't a tv person, I watch a few things here and there but my tv is mostly used for light!

But I've seen several episodes of Conan, Family Guy, Simpsons, etc.. all these huge shows that are regularly joking about doing acid!

I have no specific clips or anything to post, but anyone who is familiar with these shows and others could probably agree that lsd is becoming more talked about that in the many years before.

It's coming back... it's coming back..

I believe, with the new outlook on acid and it's psyciatric potentials that are being tested recently, soon enough it'll be as easy to get as anything else.

 

I saw a Family Guy episode yesterday which had an acid reference... I don't think any of these shows mentioned are exactly ringing endorsements for therapeutic use of LSD. I made a thread a few months ago about how I was surprised that cocaine was being so explicitly displayed on tv, so I think that drugs overall may be becoming more accepted, or comedy is becoming more 'perverse.'

 

I think something big might be on the horizon...

I actually was going to start a thread about this and it's not strictly about LSD, but I see it as generally fitting with the content of the thread. So I've noticed that within the past couple years many pop stars have released seemingly blatant psychedelic videos, I'm curious as to what some think about these videos and if this music is inherently attempting to be psychedelic oriented or just the videos.

Well, Professor Squirrel, I don't happen to have t.v. or lsd...

 

It's definitely in the jazz scene. LSD is one of those drugs that attracts artists and intellectuals, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of popular musicians have seen the four sides of the eternal triangle.

Art always has been psychedelic IMO. You could argue it's been going on for thousands of years. The soma is just pouring from centuries-old Hindu artwork.

Me and my buddy watched the Matrix Reloaded on some acid a few weeks ago and my buddy showed me the part when Neo talks to the Architect in the room full of TVs, and if you look at it, the wall of TVs look like blotter, haha
