Thanks for posting this. I watched it twice. Very thought provoking & resonates with what Ive seen around me in the culture since I first became aware that 'something isnt 'right' here', back in the 80s. But the History of this societal disfunction goes back much further. Now its got a name & definition of what we're up against !
The show Criminal Minds mentioned the concept once. Even James Patterson in one of his earlier Alex Cross books mentioned it.
I'd recommend Jon Ronsons 'The Psychopath Test' as a good read. He interviews some real psychos including one very successful in the corporate tree. 'Course the book I'm looking for is about how we get rid of the bastards !
I have read that many psychopaths seek out positions of trusted authority. Not only do these positions provide the psycopath with a way to blend in, they also net him or her a greater opportunity to manipulate others without taking as great of a risk of being caught and facing the consequences of his or her actions.
Social Darwinism in action, baby. It's a stereotype that a politician is essentially a paid pathological liar, right? Well, you know what they say about stereotypes: there's always some truth to them. The bankers are the ones who concern me the most at this time.
