I ha ve a bracihal plexus injury to my olner nerve, which basically means my left arm below the elbow is numb along the left side, and ihave no use of my left hand at all. I recently have found a GREAT dr. who can possibly use an implant to reroute an active nerve to serve its normal funtion as well as contiue to grow down to my hand. And giving me at least partial use of my hand back. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pray for this to go well for me it will improve my life and help me provide a better life for my wife the love of my life!!
I hope it goes well. This could have major implications if these implants could be more widely used in medicine as a whole
Amazing! I wish I got to hear more stories like this. I would have expected using robotics would have come to be a long while ago, but I am glad you are going to be able to take part in it. I will hope that it works for you!
man I was telling all my friends that one day this is going to happen , they never believed me, I always get to say I told you so. I have always been fascinated with the idea of using robotics in the medical profession. Partially because I always thought it would be cool to be a cyborg
I really hope all goes well for you. I recently had cataract surgery and went from seeing poorly with thick glasses to being able to see without wearing any glasses. They removed the lenses from my eyes and replaced them with man made lenses. I am still stunned at the improvement. I hope the surgery goes just as well for you. Best wishes. :2thumbsup:
