The way yankie drone program is headed that by the time people decide to stop twattling on facebook and take to the streets... They won't be able to do so without being blown to pieces.

 

I def' should have read this earlier, but never mind - anyway, I read a Guardian article dated 22.06.13 (kept for posterity), and it said: 'One key innovation has been GCHQ's ability to tap into and store huge volumes of data drawn from fibre-optic cables for upto 30 days so that it can be sifted and analysed.'

Does anybody know what that means?

Point being, to force any change someones got to risk something, all the awareness in the world isn't going to rally anything.

 

I would take it to mean that their active data storage capacity is about 30 days before it becomes full. Of course that can easily be expanded and how much is archived off line that can be retrieved if they need to look back more than 30 days?
