Fighting with my girl for the past several days, it sucks... probably the first major one we've had, we never really fight.. if we do its usually trivial and passes quickly. I'm getting way too much into my own head, second guessing all the shit I've said and done and over-analyzing everything (which I have a tendency to do, a tendency which is exasperated when cannabis is thrown into the mix). So it's kind of a weird morning... Think I'm gonna have some people over in a few hours to take my mind off shit.

Thats why I never understand the straight people who say that people use cannabis (or other psychedelics for that matter) to "escape," or to somehow avoid dealing with reality and the issues you're currently facing... for me, the polar opposite is true. If I have a troublesome situation going on in my life, or if I'm deliberately trying to put something on the mental back-burner and I take a few puffs of the good, it comes shining through with such a magnified intensity that I have no choice but to confront it, to mull it over and work it out in my head.

Haha yeah I never really used that term, but a lot of the older stoners I deal with simply use "the good" instead of headies, dank, chronic, etc so I've found myself using it more and more lately. I like it for its aesthetic appeal and simplicity :2thumbsup:

I've been talking to my friend (and mentor) Dan lately, and he sold his headshop here in NY and moved out to AZ about two years ago... he's slowly convincing me to move out there and pool our money in a headshop/dispensary operation. And he's already leasing a building which we could use as the store.

August 5th through 14th I'm going out to visit him in AZ and we'll be discussing the logistics and hopefully getting the wheels in motion if we can figure out a game-plan that works for both of us... I really hope everything works out smoothly and we can open a business together.

The money involved is very daunting and will set me back to square one if I go through with all of this... but hey, you gotta pay to play right? I tend to move in cozy, comfortable, concentric circles with my life and I think now is the time for a big move, take a big chance and hopefully somewhere down the line get some sort of big payoff or reward out of it. Just to be involved with that community, to further my knowledge, and who knows maybe even contribute something new to the culture one day would be reward enough for me. The cool thing is that both me and Dan are on the same page; money is secondary. The primary focus being on the plant, the environment, the patient, and the products.

Hopefully we can work something out. I have a lot of hesitation though, because I don't want this to bomb and end up losing all my savings in a failed startup.

Just really feeling like I should do something with my life... sitting around hanging out and generally doing nothing for years on end doesn't really satisfy. And I'm fortunate to have the opportunities I do and to be in the general situation which I'm in. house is dirty...

the only thing clean is the recycling... i had tons.. all gone.

went to a concert on friday... was next to river... ran into lots of people, reunion in some ways.. it was a fun night, must have been close to 3,000 people on the grounds.. was pretty fucked up most of the night. i didn't get laid.. but i did get a blowjob that took about 2 of our hours through-out the night. so that felt good...

now its back to the reality of life... too bad i wasn't into the girl that night as much as she was into me.. sign... would be a great something.. i like dating women that are 5+ years older than me...

 

i just love it... you know when its dark out and their are 5 guys talking to one girl and you cut in from of them ask her, 'hey ya wanna go makeout'...they guys will all turn at you looking at you like wtf, dont even, but you keep your eyes focused on hers tell she either answers or walk away. it will lead you to many things when she catches you alone one hour later
