Just wanted to let ya'll know if you do purchase marijuana, make sure you aren't buying from the drug cartels. I find them to be a reason why its still illegal, they see it as the cause of murders, because of the cartels. If you do buy, make sure its from a peaceful source such as a hippie or someone you know who grows. Hopefully once it is legalized all this senseless murder can stop, who else agrees with me that you shouldn't purchase from cartels/gangs?

i don't buy or smoke, but I do support its legalization on a state and federal level

I don't see a problem in 2 cartels murdering eachother and they usually don't shoot people not involved...

Not to say that they typically kill innocent people, but they have been known to. At least a few times rehab centers in Mexico have been shot up, everyone killed, looking for one person who was not even there. If they're looking for someone and can't find him, they'll more than likely go after their family members, friends, whoever they might associate with. Mass piles of bodies are found often and the Mexican media won't even report the murders that happen there as journalists are targeted by the cartels as well.

and its also the principles man. Two girls were given to the cartels BY THE COPS as GIFTS to the cartels. I wouldn't support those dudes if I bought weed

If you are buying good weed you are not supporting the cartels. They specialize in coke, meth, and swag. And eve then weed is a small portion of that. The money is in addictive drugs, ones where the customer has to come back.

Thats not what mainstream media is telling us, they say it's their largest source of revenue...hard for me to believe, but up north here we haven't seen any brick weed in many years...though apparently now they are growing in the National forests, using a lot of pesticides and fungicides. They busted a big one not far from here last year, local law figured it was likely Mexican cartel backed operation

I get mine directly from a local grower :2thumbsup:

    cartels don't announce themselves.....

and they don't sell grams on the corner either.....

they deal in hundreds and thousands of pounds

some peace loving shmuck buying weed off some dude he knows from college will never know he just bought cartel weed

op has a nice sentiment but is a victim of mass media

In colorado and washington, and soon to be ohio it is legal to grow weed for recreational use, and to sell. However it will be taxed, although the taxes are about the same as street price. Its still illegal federally though, but they aren't doing anything against it.

What I wonder is you have to report your taxes at a state AND federal level. So when paying federal taxes what does one do? Wouldn't that lead the feds right to them. My opinion is they see so much money coming from it they ignore it, or they say they are selling hemp, which is technically not illegal

Indeed they do. Often times the guy busted at the border did not pay his "tax" to the right people. Or he is the decoy, while we are busy with him 20 other people get across.

As for Colorado, no one is going to buy legal weed. The tax is too much, we can use the black market for less. So in a few years everyone will want to make it illegal again because there will be no revenue. They are planning to use the tax for schools.

What about if you grow your own? that would still be cheaper as its always cheaper to grow your own. Evne if you bought illegal seeds what are they gonna know if they are legally gained or illegally gained seeds. why not keep it legal and just let people decide whether or not they wanna buy legally or illegally or grow their own and not be prosecuted. Still I would not buy from gangs , thats bad karma, seen the next 48 too many times to see two people shoot each other over some weed they were gonna sell

I think it will be like alcohol. I can make my own beer, but I can not sell it. So yes you can grow your own and help friends out on the down low. The only way this is happening is because of the tax not because people in Colorado all of the sudden think weed is ok. It is acceptable only if the government makes profit. Last I read it will be 30%.

I'd have to say grow your own then (not you, I read you sayin you don't smoke) or buy from someone growing their own... cause otherwise, it gets really hard to know where something originally came from. if not impossible. and it's not just weed either.

Can you site some resources. I meant from in the states where its legal to grow. I know occasionally a few guys get busted, but I was led to believe that it wasn't the majority. Barry said he wouldn't do anything to Medical Marijuana patients and such. Of course this would not surprise me if he went back on his word, seems he has on every thing he said he would do, other then letting gays serve openly
