    Yes.
A couple of intense psychedelic experiences made it clear to me that reincarnation is part of the cycle of life.

Sometimes I get attacked by these rogue memories of dying. It's like I'm remembering experiencing the moment of death. They seem like real memories, but they don't come from this life (obviously, because I'm still living it). So maybe these are memories of the end of past lives. It's a possibility.
(By the way, death is a pretty nice experience. Very calm and relaxing.)

^^ yeah I've had that too. Experiencing death through a memory of a past life. It's really relaxing and actually quite comforting.

My mother believed in reincarnation and I was brought up to believe in it. I can't explain what or why it is, for me, it's just a fact of life. I have vague half-memories of another life, but I can't swear that it's not my imagination. I'm told that my first three or four words as a baby, were in French. I don't speak French and neither does my family.

No. I believe that consciousness and memory is tied to the physical body. Body dies, the rest of it is gone. Reincarnation just seems really ego-centric to me.

i beleive in reincarnation in some way.being a meditator i have had some intuitions of experiences which where not of this current frequency of life.
on one levil reincarnation makes sense as the world of the relitive universe is always trying to come to some state of ballance..so karma makes sense.
however for a meditator who regularly transcends the relitive frequency of this plane it becomes a moot point as for the meditator the transcendence takes the being back to the impersonal void...there is in that the begining and the end of all things relitive.
including the universe. yes the begining and end of everything is readly available and free to everyone through simple mantra meditation.
so reincarnation....if you are identified with the relitive yes...if you are identified with the transcentental its not really an issue. thats why meditation is sometimes refured to as "burning off karma"
ummm how did i do ?....i find posting here difficult as i find the threads go so long by the time i get on to them...there is 100 posts.
    cheers

yes , an identity with ancestor seems important . for some people
the story gets broken , the family displaced , then and what's to do but look within the self and
feel an old place , a speck of faraway dust that might be in your little left toe . don't some people even find stardust ?

i fall into the gender queer pomo "hippy" kinda homo sort of person catagory...it has been said.
I do not understand who can explain what a hippy is to me??....i mean what is the quintessential hippy aspect of the self?
I am a little too young but I remember as a teenager seeing hippies and I became one my self however in all those years I do not still know what people mean by hippy. I was a punk.a organic farmer a musician and a artist in paint.
    But hippy nar.

I'm not going to go into too much detail because, honestly I could write a book on the matter, but basically, I believe that it is possible that at the end of your life, it is possible to transfer your consciousness into another being, or maybe only another human, that is first entering life. I believe it is also possible that either some or all beings that have ever lived to have their consciousness floating out there somewhere, that can be pulled back to earth at no certain time, explaining for reincarnation from someone who lived 1000 years ago.
A side theory of that is also that consciousness is recycled, with only a limit of them out there, and that we are all reincarnated, from one being to the next.
Depending how strong the person is in life could determine how well or how strong their consciousness would be aware in the next life, but even those who have remembrance of a past life, it comes through pretty weak, and mostly fades all together over time.
I think this is one of the mysteries that will be solved with basic human evolution and the untapping of more usage of our brain.

It makes me think too that maybe due to the ever expanding population on earth would mean that consciousness e's from other world's are being pulled down here, and since other beings might have a higher use of their mind, that they come on stronger in the next for, and that would account for 'alien' dreams, or even a boost in intelligence in people over the last 100 years or so..

I telepathically asked a young child that who was being carried by his mom. He nodded that yes he had lived before in another body.

No. Because nobody ever remembers if they were a rat in the previous life form or a pig. They remember however they were lions, tigers, snakes, eagles and kings and queens and so on.

kinda. my parents say that when I was a little kid I remembered previous lives and would tell them stories about it.

But at the moment, I just look at the Wheel of Samsara as states of mind. Heaven realm, hell realm, hungry ghost, human, animal, demi-god. The Buddhist realms represent states of mind . And we circle around inside them, sometimes happy sometimes sad, we keep dieing and reborning again and again til we can let go of our ignorance, passion and anger and float away into blissfull existence that exists outside the circle. The place where the Buddha states of mind can be found.

Sometimes. I have a cat here, I swear is a reincarnate of one I lost.
    Comforting thought, anyway.
