Choosing a boat (not taking sides - YET) http://www.smh.com.au/federal-polit...t-lie-png-solution-flawed-20130719-2q8yr.html
my opening part of the story. These people, I should mention; are coming from places such as Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and so on. They bought airline tickets Odon, to travel to Indonesia. Then suddenly once they are on that leaky boat they have no papers???? Anyone is welcome to come here, just do it the right way is all people are asking for. last quote. Yes, if you're passionate enough about issues that you get all worked up over, why not be as passionate about issues within your own community that really do matter. I get angry over this, because our stupid lame assed government is spending billions on this issue and yet the poor family living under a bridge gets no assistance at all.
That is the simplest truth. Billions of both direct aid overseas, as well as giving away our old military hardware and yet we have thousands of our own destitute. Where is the logic in that?
The entire system of any state is about cateloging the people and turning them into a source of money production. Therefore the borders exist not to keep other people out but to keep us in. They can't outright say *Hey you're not allowed to leave* because that would destroy the illusion of freedom. So.. Instead they make deals with other nations that amount to... If you don't take our slaves we won't take yours. And the proof of what I'm saying is the fact we have 196 nations in the world and on a good day they can't agree on even small issues. But wow they all agree that everyone must have a passport. They all have immigration policies that are skewed to favor the rich and almost none of them will allow a *Joe-Average-Worker* to stay for more than 6 months. So when any governement is giving asylum what it's doing is nothing more than politics. They're... Stealing another nation's citizens so as to help *hurt* or *cripple* their money source Maintaining a certain level of needed racism within the host nation in order to ensure that the public is divided and fighting each other instead of placing demands on them the government. Let me leave with this thought. I want to travel to another nation with my cat. And you know what my cat needs??? A certificate of good health and be vaccinated. The same thing can be said for my neighbor's bird, Bieber's monkey and all animals. But human's need to have passports, pass security clearance, etc. I should also add that my cat is allowed to stay in any nation for as long as it wants. Whereas you and I need permission or we get sent home.
That is because our animal friends don't carry bombs, weapons and make plans to divide a country when they arrive with their hatred of the very country they have fled to. They don't preach vile hate and try to force their twisted views of like onto the people they have chosen to live among, they don't thumb their noses at the laws of their new country. Animals in general are more sincere than most humans.
There have always been borders. Even in the animal kingdom, anyone who owns a cat can attest to this. Cats mark their territory to protect it from other cats moving in, humans do the same thing just on a different scale. Even in pre-historic times we traveled in packs and tribes and protected our "hood" so to speak. And there's a very good reason animals need a certificate of health to travel. How do you know your pet isn't carrying some obscure disease that other animals or humans in the country your going to do not have a natural immunity to? It would be like somebody transporting a monkey from Africa carrying the Ebola virus and allowing them into downtown Manhattan. In ancient times it wasn't as important because people seldom traveled more then 50 miles from home. But today with air travel, automobiles and sea vessels, we have to consider these things. Not doing so is irresponsible and just plain stupid.
1. According to at least 2 friends of mine that are Kurds. They assure me that animals are used to blow people up. As the bombs are often surgically implanted in the animal's body. 2. If you don't want someone leaving their nation and coming to yours. Then tell YOUR government to get out of their nation and get control of the transnational corporations based in your nation that exploit and manipulate the poor nations for their natural resources. 3. If you don't want someone treating you with hate and imposing their views on you. Then stop treating them with hate and imposing your views on them. IE: Get control of YOUR media. Now I was born and raised in the UK and I spew hate about my country all the time. So much so that I literally giggle whenever there's a scandle or something bad happens that makes jolly old England look bad. And I've had this opinion of *my country* ever since I can remember. If I ever found a bottle with a genie in it, I would wish that the UK's entire social and economic system would collapse and cause it to cease to exist as both a nation and a culture. It's hard to like a nation that urinates all over others, including its own citizens. But any human can contract any deadly disease and fly from one nation to another and only be asked how much money he has and what's he carring. So some modestly wealthy pratt can fly to the Philippines and snort coke, do extasy, have sex with cheap hookers, etc. Then fly home and the only thing they worry about is the bottle of booze in his suitcase. That scenario is played out ever day and here's my take on it Animals are cleaner then humans and that's a fact that pretty much everyone knows or can verify. Therefore what they want is someone to contract a disease and spread it because an epidemic is good for the economy. All those doctors, nurses and hospitals generate lots of cash-ola. Plus let's not forget that government can use this sort of thing to its advantage and pass all kinds of laws that will only "protect us." (((More like protect them from us.)))
When you travel to certain countries, you are required to get immunized for known diseases in that country, the more exotic and 3rd world that country is the more requirements there are. Traveling to industrialized countries carries less risk so there are less requirements. If you look back at history most major disease outbreaks were passed along from humans to animals. The Bubonic Plague came from rats that got bit by fleas carrying the disease and still exist in some parts of the world. In the U.S kids can't even enter school unless they've had their immunization shots. There was a time when we didn't have these kinds of requirements and as the populations grew and people started traveling around the world diseases spread rampantly, in fact the Black Plaque killed 1/4 of Europe. The system isn't prefect but without it we'd be in hell of a lot more trouble.
I understand. I'm just wondering how big an issue the 'fake' asylum seeker issue is. If it is legitimate or diverting attention from the issue/bigger picture. I'm not talking about yourself, I just mean in the general discourse. Is it people or government? I thought you were talking about people. I think people are/should be free to be passionate about one issue if they so wish - if it is important to them. They don't have to give a crap about the homeless in their community, for e.g. I understand if you think government is spending billions on this issue. Is it actually more than they are spending on the homeless etc? Is it in their 'foreign aid budget'? Our FAB is less than 0.7% of GDP - and that covers a multitude of issues.
You win. I'll contact the passport office and find out the photo requirements for my cat's passport... I wonder if they'll ask for his birth certificat?
birth certificate, social, and dna samples required. also cat cannot have any dui's or outstanding bench warrants.
