The term rock is used here to describe what we used to call freebase when I was a teen. It is crack. Cocaine that has been cooked in water with a little baking soda so that it conglomerates into a solid 'rock'.

It is very addictive, and I have seen people totally go to shit in no time flat after getting hooked on it.

Whoa, that doesn't sound like any fun to me. I'm too "high-speed" as it is. I'd prefer to be mellow. :)

    Peace...

Personally I don't find crack addictive at all. I've smoked it when it's around before, and with a little bit of speed it's alright, but most of the time I refrained from smokeing it because I don't especially like that shit. Anyways, I could hardly ever pass up a good joint...

lets see, yes rock is a type of freebase cocaine. Its not washed after it is mixed with baking soda and sometimes ash. The real freebas cocaine is just called freebase. It is not cooked, but processed with ethyl alcohol, and it takes "frees the base from the acid"(cocaine HCl(hydrochloric acid)). Freebase isn't that bad, and unlike rock, it is only as addictive as the original product. It also does not make you want to do more right after. The high lasts a bit longer. Doesn't give you that oh so common headache until you get more.

Too much information known about blow to say it all

what do you mean? the verse that talks about it completely fits in with the rest of the song, i don't understand how you would see it differently. all he says about it is somehting about a woman who is addicted to crack and she leaves her baby behind for crack or something, i don't know thats not one of my favorite neil young songs.

Yeah man... crack is bad, m'kay? It's a waste of coke if you ask me, but then again coke isn't all that much better for you anyways so I'm told. Crack, however, is addictive and dirty in ways that coke isn't, and man... that's not any kinda cool at all. People don't wanna hang around a crackhead, nor do they want other people to know they hang around one... fuck that shit in it's tiny goat ass!

Maybe you should try other things like... buying lots of acid and giving it all to me... Then maybe I'll allow you to worship me and adore me as your newfound diety who you shall consequentially build a statue in honor of. I think that is a more promising route for you to go in this life, friend. Now I'll be waiting at the temple for your offerings...

hee hee. Crack is kinda crappy, but i'll smoke a bit if it's offered fro free. and it has and I've smoked it and had a good time with it.

they key is to never buy any yourself!
I've tried the 'coke mixed with speed" shit. WE didn't call it rock. but it was just a waste of coke. the speed was enough.
