I Can't For The Life Of Me Understand Why 3 People Gave This Post

    The Thumbs Down...:(.

Here Is A Mother Who Is Proud Of Her Son And Wanted To Share Her

    Pride With Us...:).

Next Time Read The Subject Of The Thread, And If You Don't Like

It, Just Don't Open It And Then Proceed To "Rain On Someones Parade"...:(.

The "formula" I was referring to is something the pediatrician mentioned and it's also in some of the books I have... I believe (although I could be wrong), that's it's also in the What to Expect...when you're expecting, Or "in the first year", etc., books...
I'm gonna see if I can find exactly what it is.
I do remember it actually has a bit more to do with the mother's height...
So, if the mother is tall you are likely to have a tall son even if the father is short... I know I got 6 foot 1 or so based on me being 5 foot 11 and my husband only being 5 foot 8... but yea, let me see if I can find it right now and then I'll edit this!

Edit- I'm actually not quite sure if this is the exact predictor ("formula") that I saw before and used... but this is what the mayo clinic is saying- that there are 2 predictors, that although neither is 100% (obviously, you'd be an idiot to think so, lol)... they are usually quite close.
way number 1- add mother and fathers height together in either inches or centimeters. Add 5 inches for boys (13 cent.). Subtract 5 inches for girls (13 cent.)- Divide by 2.

Or... another way is just to double their height at age 2.

(so the second way for Cason... at age 2 he is 3 feet 2 inches... that would make him 6 foot 4!)
the first way... let's see...139 plus 5=144 divided by 2 = 72= 6 feet tall. The other thing I did...which may have been this and I may have been wrong... it may have been 6 feet I got.. it was sure close to that...seems more right.)

It was saying on the mayo clinic that it's (almost) a definite that the child will be within 4 inches of method number one... (the one with the math where I got 6 feet tall for Cason... )

(when I look @ those two together for Cason that tells me he'll be between 6 feet and 6 foot 4... average of 6 foot 2... so, maybe that's what he'll be. :) )

Did you try the ones I posted too?
To see if they are the same as that one?
I'll try this one now too to see if it's the same for what I got for the other ones for Case.

Okay.. just did the one you posted and I got 6 foot for Cason as well.
I'm pretty sure it used the same formula that the mayo clinic posted... where you add together mom and dad's height in inches... add 5 for a boy...or subtract 5 for a girl and divide by 2. Because I got 6 feet tall with that as well.

(well, if that is true then 5'11'' and 6 feet... our kids will be very close in height.)

I didn't see where you had edited it with the formula. I think I did the math wrong because it came out 3 inches shorter lol. I'm way too sleepy to be doing math right now I will have to try again tomorrow.

    5 foot 10 and a half inches :)

(btw, the short cut I used for both of us to not go nuts with the math in my head is to start for both the mom and the dad with the amount of inches for 6 feet...72 ties that by 2... 144... and then just subtract the amount of inches both parents are short of 6 feet) :)

Actually I think what my mom did was either a midwife (she was a hippie) or a pediatrician did some kind of spinal measurement. Does that sound legit? Either way it guessed my height and my sister's height to the inch.

Hmm, yea, could be. Do you know where on the spine exactly to where on the spine or what the "formula" was?

No one ever tried to guess my height. They just said, "Yeah, she's gonna be short."
