I happened to click by it and I thought I was watching a strip club performance. I don't care what she does--she's just young and has found out what can be done with and especially --TO her body and she's going nuts over it. A fuck tape will show up down the line, I suppose. She looks OK---if you're 13.
I watched the performance now. One could say that there is a strong demonic influence. You know, one could say.
On one level, it could be understood like this, and on another, one can step further back and observe that the expressions emoted by the public in reaction reveals more of the hinterland of our collective emerging shadow than of this particular stars personality. The fog of war is slightly dispersed, so to speak. To echo the sentiments of many a tortured expressionist, in a Godless society, we adopt idols upon which to place our most rigidly subdued desires and repressed ambitions. While it is true that there is thought to be a disconnect between what the people think they want and what the popular media presents, it is also true that our idols serve only one purpose, and that is to reflect the core values of the very culture that worships it. People may point and gape in disgust all they like in order to feel better about themselves, but we all have a hand in this, and in fact are pointing and gaping only at our own base desires. We are living in a nightmare by our own design, for better or worse. The fall from grace is endlessly repeated as we recall our pharmacological origins in the book of Genesis, as the challenge of the woman to eat the psychedelic fruit of the tree raised us up on high to the same level as the Godhead fountain itself, and thus we were cast out of paradise for transgressing an inviolate boundary, and we are doomed to reenact this scenario over and over again. I should teach Sunday school, don't you agree, Janja?
I was actually just reminded of the book I read when I was a child. I think most people here would cringe, and laugh at the book
Haha....yeah, and again...when I was thinking about this all and the comment about Billy Ray, that song got into my head. lol.
I am 17 and I have already decided that I will never be able to see why most of the people my age are into these so called artists. People like Miley Cyrus have recreated the exact text book definition of a scumbag and to wrap it all up her and many others like her have absolutely no talent at all. What happened to people getting awards who can actually play a guitar and sing about something meaningful without being vulgar or a stripper at that. (Sorry for the rage)
Yes most of it is pure shit that should just some how disappear, but look at ed sheeran, kanye west and Timberlake! There is some real good music out there loom maklemore, he raps for gay rights, independence, etc. And yeah I know kanye has really gone down hill, but his old stuff used to be about his dying mother, what to appreciate in life, god and staying in education and where it gets you. So yes we have some horrific garbage like miley but there is still some fantastic music out there.
I like to think of people like Miley Cyrus, Justin Timberlake, Brittany, etc. as entertainers, not artists. Artists write deep, thoughtful, creative music. Entertainers are more interested in holding public attention. If you can be both, all the better.
Has anyone heard what her Dad has had to say about this yet? I've been hearing rumors at work about how she's just trying to sell her new album, has already done a porno, will never be on nickalodian or disney ever again etc. I just saw the whole video this morning (over six minutes long) and I was not turned on by it (at all). In fact, to know that she did that on Live TV makes me cringe. And to know that kids saw that also makes me sad.
She's fucking ugly. She looks like some kind of weird hybrid-tranny from outer space. She's just nasty, and her voice sounds gross, too.
But twerking only unites us with our furry brethren: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/07/29/animals-twerking_n_3672924.html
