Got a couple growlers of count-shak-u-la (chocolate oatmeal stout) from a customer that I'm drinking tonight. Nothing like free, good beer.
i've really got to give this pumpking a try. i fucking love pumpkin pie. pumkin beers not so much usually, but i know i know.... and yeah that 2nd part is pretty apparent in your online persona. you are either posting about raw milk, the farmer's market and intermitten fasting....or you're drinking delicious beers. i've had one beer with that gnome on it....La Chouff or something. it was quite good and i saved the bottle for the longest time, it was like a 750 ml one from beers of the world.
I have not made Absinthe... I do use Artemisia for tea, but I haven't yet made liquor with it. I think that what I use for tea is a different species, but it has similar properties so it might work... That is a good idea, I will have to research it!
Last night I went to one of my favorite bars while I'm back in my home town. I ran into a childhood friend (I haven't seen him since 8th grade), and we consumed an unknown number of shots of Jack, Jameson, and Snake River Pako's IPA. Good times.
Stone Brewery R&R Coconut IPA. Its a collaboration with their new location in Liberty Station here in SD.
Right now drinking my second Hoponius Union. Its a combination of ipa and lager, and is very nicely done.
My Friday night. Local beer festival, the highlight being a wonderful fruity ale called Cleopatra from the Derventio brewery. I'll be searching it out again, no question about it
I went to the liquor store last night and got the following: 2 22oz of the southern tier pumpking. I haven't tried it yet but will post a report. 1 22oz of some oatmeal stout, I'm forgetting the name and too lazy to go to the fridge to check. A six pack of intuition brewery's I10 IPA. Love that shit. And a six pack of bold city brewery's new Mad Manatee IPA. It's ok, I only drank one last night and it seemed like a real heavy IPA but not full flavored.
