Ten people were shot. Six are dead, plus one shooter that is reported dead. Two more shooters possibly at large. http://www.washingtonpost.com/local...d72b9a-1ecb-11e3-b7d1-7153ad47b549_story.html
he was out picking up hitch hikers in his vw beetle (i have a feeling only the older folk will understand this joke)
Ok, let me be the devil's advocate here... ....how can 12 people get shot to death inside a "gun-free" military facility that sits inside a "gun-free" municipality? Or perhaps I should instead ask "how many people would have been killed if SOMEONE was packing a piece? Amazing how the government will not trust it's own soldiers, during peace, with the same weapons it trains them to use on the enemy in a time of war.
I feel bad for the victims and their loved ones but in the end stories like this are starting to become pretty common place. What I don't understand is when something like this happens what do the perpetrators think they're going to accomplish? Anyone engaging in this sort of thing has to be really stupid to not know how it's going to end. And if they're fighting for a cause they again have to be morons to not have figured out that NOTHING will change. Therefore I hate to say it but I officially stopped caring last month. Because something is going on or we're not being told everything and we're never going to find out. So what's the point?
Yesterday, the media was interviewing the Secretary of the Navy. His name is Ray Mabus. When I heard his name, it reminded me that Nostradamus spoke of Mabus as a code name for the anti-christ. http://www.hogueprophecy.com/mabus/
Possibly the first time we've agreed on anything. mental issues + postmodern alienation + guns = extreme violence
I have mental issues and post-modern alienation.Good job i don't have a gun and unlikely to ever have one...And that I'm basically a peace and love guy.
Yeah.... and stories such as this are becoming an every couple month thing instead of one every couple of years. Go two-three months and I now expect another mass shooting.
Nothing about this case that has come to light so far points to anything suggesting that stricter gun laws would have helped. But, hey, I understand your emotional reaction.
Interesting tid bit coming to light. Apparently an AR15 was not used in this shooting. The media was quick to jump on the "scary black gun strikes again" bandwagon though. http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/17/us/ar-15-gun-debate/?hpt=hp_t1
Pathetic What makes you think he got a hold of his shotgun recently? What makes you think he didn't get a hold of it prior to all his mental health issues? Has there been any indication that he purchased his shotgun after his mental health issues? Lets wait for the facts before we start to chip away at people's rights.
Buddhists are godless, so who do they pray to? Dali Lama goes in a pizza parlor and asks,"Can you make me one with everything?"
Dalai Lama pays with a $100 bill and the guy behind the counter says thanks and pockets it. Dalai Lama asks for change. Guy behind the counter says "change comes from within".
