i'm really debating now between starting up a little sales business here, basically selling for my dad's company but independently (so I get to keep the profit), and just going out and getting a job. i found one 15 minutes away that i'm pretty sure i would get, no problem. i have 10 years experience in the industry and have sales experience... but the job only pays $10.25/hour and that kind of sucks. i would make more with one successful sale on my own (an hours work) than i would in an entire week working for someone else.

there are some really nice things about being your own boss, but there are also definite perks to clocking out at the end of your shift and not having to think about anything until you clock back in. another nice thing would be that during weeks where i'm crazy with school, i can just pull back on my advertising and work less, and during weeks that i'm off i can try and book more jobs... seems ideal, but stressful.

sorry to go on about this, sometimes i feel like i need to spill out my thoughts to someone to make sense of everything.

Don't get factory navigation in your cars. It is a serious expense when it breaks and it will. My gf has not had a radio since last spring because of this and this was the second unit. $1500 extra when new and another thousand to replace it again. It lasted a year and crapped out. I finally found a normal stock radio for cheap on Ebay, but now the pain of installing it.
