After psychedelics

Discussion in 'Psychedelics' started by Deleted member 257242, Oct 20, 2013.

  1. Trying all these psychedelics how do you feel? Do you honestly believe its a life changer? For me i've got that feeling that my life is different or my head is, it's confusing.

After my Morning glory trip i realized im not ready for lsd and i don't think i will ever be, i feel like i can't handle it, im not mature enough for it. Maybe when i get older ill do it but as of now i dont feel the need for it. Lsa was too overwhelming.

I've thought this, and had quite a few discussions with my friends about it too.. they are definitely life changing, but so is being in a car accident.. it's all just another experience at the end of the day.

Having said that, I believe the perspective shift that psychedelics provide is a very healthy one. It's an incredible blessing to be able to be shown how little, yet how much you, and everything else around you matters.. It's helped me to realise what's important to me.. out of all the random shit to choose from in this crazy world, it's hard to "figure it out", but when all that's left of you is the purest of emotion, it makes things slightly clearer..
Emotion bypasses all the fiddly little details. It's like a compass, you'll know where North is, you just gotta make your way through the jungle and not get too worried about the nicks, scrapes and broken legs that you're inevitably going to acquire along the way. You just gotta do something.. otherwise you're gonna rot.

overwhelming in what ways? I ask, because LSD is certainly stronger than LSA, but it doesn't carry that god awful body load that probably made you feel it was a difficult experience. LSD is magical. Isn't anything life changing if it's new? Taking LSD is life-changing, until you keep doing it. Then it's just life...

Maybe I regret doing as much acid as I have, but I don't regret trying it, one of the most mind blowing wakes of life this realm has to offer I tell you, LSD is it

  4. I felt as if it was TOO much, the thoughts were insane. I honestly believe i was looking into the future, i would be thinking of something like if i was about to grasp the idea and then whatever i was trying to think about would happen, nd this continued onto the following day. I had this image in my head and the day after the trip i got something in the mail and opened it up and it was the same image.

Also i've just been thinking about it a lot what is with the eye's, what do they mean? Like my signature. It sort of freaks me out whenever i see a pair of eyes that are looking to the side (idk why).

I've also got the feeling that everything is speaking to me in someway, like if i over hear a conversation, for example:

I was walking down the aisle in walmart and there's this kid talking to his mom and he says "dont get distracted" and as he says that he looks at me through the corner of his eye. Ill then think what don't you want me to get distracted by?

Then ill realize wtf daniel lol you're over thinking, it's weird haha.

I doubt the eyes "mean" anything, evolution has just wired out brains to recognise faces(made up of their features) out of an infinite mess of shapes and forms. Helps us not throw a spear at Mom whilst hunting for food. **
Eyes generally pop out the most because we pay most attention to the eyes and what they're doing, they're the most expressive part of the body.. "windows to the soul" and all that. Might have also have something to do with associating eyes with observation, which links to introspection.. ego feeling like it's being interrogated or something.. who knows.
It is what it is/are what they are, lots of eyes that I've never even thought about trying to poke, until now. Lol, imagine hearing a cosmic "Ouch!"

As for the paranoia, how much weed do you smoke?

Edit: ** and when psychedelics crack us open, our minds desperately try to make sense of things so our primal instincts kick in. In theory, nothing to back it up with.. except for patternisation. I'm making assumptions on the faces and eyes... worth a google.

If you're interested though, check out "The Believing Brain" by Michael Shermer.. talks about how we perceive things and what our brains do with that information, how we form conspiracies, beliefs in the supernatural and all the rest of it.

  6. I've only smoked weed twice in my life once at a concert, and then a few years ago at a friend's house, not the occasional weed smoker.

Also the feeling i get is basically the feeling of connections with everything. Basically if i was on a psychedelic, when you start connecting everything but if i was sober it wouldn't make sense at all to me.

I will definitely check out that book.

Have you ever had the feeling of everything working together for you? As If everyone was "in on it" my first time on mdma that's what i felt as i was coming up, it is also when i noticed all the patterns of the eyes looking to the side, after a while those thoughts passed.

Psychedelics have put me into a much more positive head-space after using them. They always seem to steer me into the right direction. I don't use them often just when i need a change.

psychedelics have been a defining moment in my life thus far; i have come across nothing else that has allowed me to experience the states of being i have experienced while under the effects of these compounds.
