    This Is The End
    Movie Blurb by Shale

I’m in Missouri now and went to the Wehrenberg Theatre to see a movie farce with James Franco and Danhy McBride in it, just as I did in April of 2011 with Your Highness. It too was R-Rated because of the continuous sexual innuendo and a Minotaur with a very graphic phallus who was about to do anal on a guy.

This movie goes beyond that with even more continuous sexual banter, some bloody gore and very graphic demon phallus again about to bugger some guy. But this movie was not as silly as the previous one and it had almost everybody in Hollywood in the cast, tho some were either short lived or cameo performances.

The main actors, playing an absurd version of themselves are Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jay Baruchel, Craig Robinson, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride, Emma Watson and Michael Cera,

(You will also see: Jason Segel, David Krumholtz, Paul Rudd, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Martin Starr, Channing Tatum, Evan Goldberg, Kevin Hart, Brian Huskey, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Aziz Ansari and Backstreet Boys)

The story begins when Jay arrives in LA to visit his BFF Seth. They spend the day smoking weed & playing games like old times but Jay doesn’t seem to fit in with the new friends that Seth has been hanging with and is reluctant to go to a party at James Franco’s place. But they do go and this is where we see most of the ppl in Hollywood at their contrived worst.

Then the tremblers start with other weird stuff that convinces Jay that it is the Apocalypse. Ppl are reluctant to believe that of course until they step outside and see the total destruction that initially is thot to be a huge earthquake.

In one outside scene most everyone at the party is killed and since you didn’t care for the characters that they played you don’t mind laffing at the way some of them went. Yeah, it’s an apocalyptic comedy.

So it is our few buddies left holed up in James’ house ineptly trying to survive an apocalypse.

The movie goes on this way while each of the friends vents feelings of anger, love, and camaraderie wrapped in sexual innuendo.

    Survivors Camping Out

When their friend Emma shows up there is an uneasy scene as they realize that there are six guys and one girl and this too is reduced to a sexual discussion.

It was an OK movie, had some laffs and doesn’t require too much serious thot.

I thought this movie was amazing for the most part, it slowed down kind of the last half hour or so. The constant male bravado of ousting each other and calling each other out played really well especially when considering they used their real names. I enjoyed the drug decadence and sexual innuendos in the context of the plot. I liked the personas most of the characters took and it seemed to work both as a blockbuster comedy and a stoner cult comedy movie as well.

I found it fairly crude and raunchy and disagree it would appeal to most 13 years old, not only for those factors but many of the guest appearances are likely unknown to young teens, I think it's more geared to college age people and fans of previous movies of that crew.

You're probably right about that. I think it would appeal to gay mid-teens but str8 would want some T&A.

I thought it was pretty funny, despite being rather low brow and having a lot of gay jokes. there weren't really any titties either, but there were demon dicks.

The fact that all the actors play themselves living in the real world is a cool concept too.

My wife would really like it becase of backstreet boys.

So why aren't these threads showing up when I search for them? My first inclination was that Shale reviewed it already anyways, so I definately searched first. I been here long enough to know better.

The movie was amazing, however I felt it was difficult to enjoy the jokes, the storyline and them surviving and such, was more interesting to see what would happen next. I'd say they had some cheap jokes in there, and it was kind of cheesy in some scenes, but it was a good movie.

I love and own this movie my cousin couldn't stop laughing at it

James Franco: Your mama's pussy was the canvas. Your dad's dick was the paintbrush. Boom. You're the art.
Jay Baruchel: Thank you, James Franco. lol best line I have heard in a long time
