so I smoke out of a metal pipe I have no screens at the moment I tried without it and I kept getting pieces of pot in my mouth so I said screw It and mad one out of tin foil I'm sure it's pretty unsafe. but want to know how unsafe? it would just be a couple days until I am able to get more screens
If you're smoking from tinfoil all day every day it might not be great, I think you get some weird vapours off of it, but once in a while is not give you any problems.
If you can find an old pie pan or similar, cut a piece from that, poke holes and use that. It is thicker foil and will last longer and not give off the fumes as readily. I've done it numerous times.
so a couple days would be fine? I plan on smoking one more time today and I hope maybe tomorrow me and my dad can go too the smoke shop and get more. he said he had screens but can't find them. my dad gave me some one time and I also lost them as well I tore my house apart could not find them
Pro tip: unscrew the end of a faucet somewhere like the kitchen sink, there are slainless steel screens in there sometimes.

at least the serious problems we face as human beings are getting addressed... nothing worse than a bag o weed and no way to smoke. but more seriously, my daily toker is a proto-pipe, it's metal too but doesn't use a screen. they're a pain. but ya, aluminum really doesn't off-gas at the temps we burn weed. if i recall correctly the big danger w/ aluminum is cooking acidic liquids in it.
Short term will be ok but smoking foil is not healthy. For more then a day or two you will have health problems.
