Ya know...I'm pretty well known on the music scene around here and I have a feeling that my secrets are out. I never wanted that but if that's how it is then fuck it. I'm not being treated any differently right now. If nobody knows anything about my own things..fine. If they do know..that's fine too. The most important thing to me is that my friends are still my friends and they are.There is nothing about me that should make me lose friends if you're really my friend.

 

And by that last post...I feel like I should just say I'm a little bit of a freak sometimes. That's all.

 

By putting your band out there on the same message board that you go to hoping for anonymity probably defeats the purpose. that's kind of like a billboard saying "this is who I am". I know you probably weren't expecting to run into someone here that lives so close and there is a very good chance we know some of the same people. I'm just saying that I'm not one to share others secrets if we do ever end up in the same place.

Eh...they could probably find that post if they really wanted to but I bet nothing I say would really shock them. I've been in the same band with these guys for roughly 1/3 of my life. We've had many, many conversations about freaky shit. They know I'm definitely the deviant in the band but so far I haven't said very much here.

 

a few people know i spend too much time on the internet. they probably assume i'm watching porn though.

 

I am massively spied upon.

 

So...I had band practice this afternoon. I said "Oh yeah...I posted a link to the bandcamp page on this message board I post on". The keyboard player (who does all of our online stuff) said "I saw that on the stats. I opened that shit at work and thought...a swinger board! That figures."

I tried to tell them there was much more to the board. They were like...yeah..sure there is.

I've only told one person about HF (about a year ago). Didn't give my user name.

For all I know that person joined. I'll probably never know.

 

Some friends know and some family knows.

My kids have met someone who posts here and think he is pretty great. If something was wrong and I needed help he made it clear that they should contact him.

If my kids ever wanted to join I would pay their membership. We shall see.

 

Oh yeah, contacting a stranger you met on a forum is a brilliant idea. Makes it that much more legit when they make it clear that "it's okay". That's a seller right there...

A little background. I met him a couple of years ago. We have visited and I have also met some of his family. I ended up being really sick and he came over to see how I was. He told the kids and myself if I was ever in that shape again to call him as he would do what he could to help out. Wow and we wonder why people are worried about putting themselves out there.

There are some wonderful people on here, ones that I do call friends.
