Sad thing is Chicago is a neglected city. Who is killing who? It's mostly blacks on blacks. Sorry to "go there" but face the facts, ask any black person in Chicago where the problems exist and they will tell you "gang wars". Why? For money, food, to support their families. They live in extreme poverty, with few good examples, and the only way they know to cash in is sling crack, pimp whores, murder for hire and other degenerate activities that pay substantial money. The city itself is designed to segregate groups of people (expensive toll roads keep people from crossing lines). And how can anyone expect them to rise up without any shining examples to aspire to? Barack Obama is not relevant to them (aside from being black) because he grew up in a middle class family and went to Harvard for God's sake. That's not relatable. Lots of corruption and criminal activity in Chicago, and there always has been. Lol, look at the mob activity over the last 100 years. It's always been a hot bed. I live in New York City, and though my neighborhood is "relatively safe" it's still New York. I'm less than a mile away from many of the most volatile ghettos in the country. Manhattan is a tiny island and the other four boroughs (Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, SI) are close in proximity. There is a church a couple blocks from me, that used to be a dive diner/bar (lol) owned by someone in the Italian mob. LOADS of murders went down there. There is a saying, once you walk in through side door you never walk out. I guess they had a special entrance for victims to keep the whole deal inconspicuous. This was back in the 80's and 90's when the death toll was insane. Anyway, this really isn't anything new however we do see it more because of internet and increased media coverage. It's funny we're not afraid to walk into a war zone in Afghanistan but we can't even take control of a bad situation in Chicago. For shame!
