I am a shoe person so it really depends on the day and my mood. I own far too many and my favourite is bare feet if I can get away with it. For work always heels. For any other time, what ever takes my fancy when I open my closets.
I'm wearing some $20 dollar black and neon green athletechs right now. They look better than the price suggests. They are pretty comfortable too for the price. I have a pair Nikes but the right one is worn out and squeaks with every step I take but they are still comfortable. My pair of sketchers is the most comfortable for walking tho which is important.
Very casual I wear trainers, usually Nike, sometimes Adidas. Distances, I might wear boots (Timberland and stuff). Work I wear... duhh work shoes like Bally (really beautiful shoes, I think). Then I've got different variations of casual shoes - Po.d, Timberland, Gr.ensons and some other makes. I'm absolutely useless at buying shoes generally. I just wander round shops just not knowing what to buy. I think it generally makes sense to buy quality ones because they do last longer, and can be repaired sometimes.
Valenki ) though my pair is blue, with traditional embroidery. It is to protect feet from our extreme cold )
the shoes i wear the most would be whatever i wear to work. currently, some standard tennis shoes, which upon closer inspection i see are new balances. my last job was sandals. the one before that, work boots. those three options are what i wear 99% of the time when i'm not at work too, depending on the weather and what i'm doing. i also have some snow boots, but i almost always just go with the work boots when i'm out in the snow. of course, i'm usually barefoot when not at work, but that's not a shoe.
