I had an experience as a kid, but I'm not gonna share it here. I still don't know 100% if it was real or not. My parents thought someone dosed me with acid. Either way it was quite profound.
I’m a bit skeptical but I did listen to ghost to ghost this past October 31st on the coast to coast am and some of the stories were quite compelling Hotwater
i believe there is non-physical existence that is not localized in physical space, just as i also believe time also has three dimension, even though we only "see" their vector. thus time, as equally spirit, is not localized in space. sure nonphysical beings exist. why not? being nonphysical, they owe nothing to what anyone thinks they know about them though. god or gods, should such choose to exist, as i believe myself to have experienced something of the sort seeming to, belong also to this category.
But when the organ that creates that 'energy' is gone, then so is the energy. I believe the probability of ghosts is very small. I'm agnostic about extra-dimensional beings (I'm sure there's more than themax's three dimensions); possible but we may never be able to ever know.
I think our concept of self is distorted enough to believe in radio beings and the fact that we're just humans..
I dont know about spirits - -but I still have dreams about guys I used to know in the :army:..44yrs ago:sad:
if there are gods, or a god, their existence can only be of a non-physical form. this is not energy as we know matter and energy, because that energy that can be converted to matter and matter to energy, that is still a physical thing. we can describe spirit in some sense as being LIKE energy, but it is not the same thing. it is many degrees of intangibility further removed, and yet just as real. what is unreal, is what people seem to have somehow convinced each other, that we 'know' about it. that is one of the problems with organized beliefs, when they are misunderstood, as talking about physical things.
While I remain a skeptic, it often seems as if the universe is out to prove me wrong. I've had some experiences with "the other realm." Most of them terrifying. I'm still trying to make sense out of them, honestly.
To paraphrase something similar - I do not believe in spirit beings, and I'm sure they don't believe in me either. Actually I think it's quite likely that we are not alone. Pretty much every culture in human history up to modern times has believed in some version of spirit beings. I doubt they were all completely delusional.
I assume that anything we experience by vision or intuition of the corporeal is only a shadow of the substantial, and therefore our concepts of spirits, as well as of angels and demons, of ancestors and so on are probably limiting and only appertain to us on our own individual capacities. According to the Qur'an our most intense potential bliss will come from beholding the Creator directly in the act of Creation, and according to the readers development, the interpretation of what exactly that means is going to vary widely; this idea is present elsewhere, of course, and is one I accept as true due both to faith and to past visionary experiences I've had (in the archaic sense). While I believe in God, I don't know what to think about spiritual beings; I've had countless experiences with DMT and have yet to encounter the otherwise omnipresent beings who apparently occupy that space, so naturally I am less inclined to accept at face value the testimony of others with experience in the same substance. I can't simply reject the experiences I've heard from very many people who have held such communion under many different circumstances, while my only experience with anything like it (a bemushroomed possession trip) years afterwards still confounds my reason and elludes definite explanation, so I remain entirely neutral in this matter. For as profound as the visionary states I've been blessed to behold are, I admit to a slight feeling of jealousy for not having encountered what so many countless others have by the same means!
the last time I told a story on here, it was called bullshit and the thread got deleted and just now in another thread a moderator of this forum said I have a lot of problems, so although I would love to share stories with you fine people. I have been downtrodden, unfortunately I let it affect the way I communicate.
Well, the forums are a lot like life. What you say is open to criticism, some will approve, and some will not. Not the mention that the people in power are not always kind and honest. That should not impede your free speech. Say what you want! Illegitimi non carborundum. Don't let the bastards get you down .
no, mostly I am talking of Angels and Demons, as described in an old book..sometimes black and a little rectangular
