agree with WW totally about the waitress...why do people think they can go (very) public with a scam, especially one like that, and nobody will find out?!


Right now I should be outside raking leaves and stuff like that...


But The Mother is currently about to annoy the everlivin'daylight out of me looking for a Christmas card from my mother-in-law. The MIL wrote a long letter in her card, and the card has now disappeared. You can read disappeared to mean my mother has used to talents to hide it forever and a day.

Hiding stuff comes so naturally to my mother she no longer even consciously does it...although for YEARS she actively/intentionally used her "talent"...we still find things she "placed for safe-keeping" (hid) 20 years ago.

I've even found weed she confiscated from me before. lol Of course, I did have to ramble through some of her stuff...which creeped me out enough to never do that again. lol

Yeah, she is walking around sort of mumbling and supposedly looking around in the same place over and over. I say supposedly because when you don't lift up anything and have looked in the same place 10 (TEN!) times, I'm thinking that particular area has been covered (and I have looked underneath ).

She's gonna find that card in her room somewhere. Her room might would qualify for a "beginning Hoarder" episode. The reason it doesn't look any worse is I tell her/remind her my brother and his spouse can look in there and SEE what it looks like! lol After I say that a few times, she usually manages to find a couple trash bags - full of paper - she doesn't need.

Just ran 5k, I haven't ran seriously since highschool

I started out with a run today and either it started messing with my sinuses or I got sick during the two hours at the gym. I've got a runny nose and have been sneezing ever since I stopped. Bleh.

Just gotta hang on until my singing final is over thursday

 

my mom says when she goes its my job to locate and dispose of her "toy box" in the attic. thanks mom, just the visual i needed.

im more of a keeper than a hoarder. i hate getting rid of things, but you can still walk through my house. my surfaces are always cluttered, and we have a severe laundry/ too much clothing not-enough-dressers problem (mostly piled all over my room, but even THAT is not quite hoarder level)
i just have to be able to see things. i cant find anything if i cant see it. i have to squish that part of me, but anytime i get something clean i feel lost in my own house. i tend to hide in the messiest room and read. i will need to have a "mess room" to make my own. i might have just the spot, if i can get it insulated.

Faelixx- give her a list, a very specific list, of what you want. this year we didnt do it because no one has money, but the last several years we have brought our "wish lists" to thanksgiving dinner. its not a huge surprise at christmas, but who needs a surprise when you get what you want? i have a long running list of things i want that i probably wont buy for myself.
if it was my mom i would just tell her. but my grandmother always buys me pink stuff (i HATE pink) and jeans that wouldnt even fit me in highschool. i give them away or repurpose them usually.

 

van curtains..make them like you see in campers....use rope instead of rods...make curtains with pocket sleeves top and bottom.....stick hooks where needed in each corner of each window section (make sure they are 3M glue and clean surface)

 

ask her for gift certificates for your school book store so that you can buy textbooks, and then you can just sell them to other students and buy wine with the money.
