I didn't say opinion=truth. But the Pope opinion isn't truth either. I never said that. You do support a system that is destroying my country though- but, I don't believe you're doing it purposely. I can see the temptation in "fixing" the country, by taxing those who make more. But would it help the country? Think about it, the government wastes trillions of dollars- they ship it overseas, builds embassies in places we're unwelcome, parties on taxpayer money etc. MOST money that gets to government, is wasted. You think more taxes will help us, when in reality, it has the total opposite effect. More taxes, health insurance and other "humanitarian" efforts are not free; They come off the back of the taxpayer. The huge pie of government spending, is caused by Liberal spending and Republican war spending. Neither party wants to break free of this system in which they scratch each others backs. You have no way of changing this, and you support it (in relative terms,) so you inadvertently sympathize with violence, but pretend that it is allowed if done by government. You're afraid of non-existent corporations with "private armies," meanwhile, you ignore the government, of which every branch is turning into an army. Social Security has enough bullets to shoot every citizen 5 times. I didn't speak with the pope, so I wouldn't know. I know people here were agreeing with him, but no one can explain how communism or Liberalism would be better. Capitalism isn't a bad system. It is the government becoming a monopoly on violence and crime, that has hurt this country. Let's say I don't want/need ObamaCare, so I decide not to sign up... What happens then? They FORCE you to buy it. Just as we're FORCED to pay for Social Security, and other expenses, not all of us are able to receive. That is shinking the middle class, and less freedom and prohibition is making it hard for this generation to do something with themselves. Imposing force for victimless crimes like drugs or speech crimes is an apalling practice, that people will realize is inhumane as time passes. Dude, you said I was probably happy when Sandy Hook happened, and, you said "you can't just say OMG Obama killed so many ppl.." "You need to look at the context." Yes, he killed a 16 year old American Citizen because his father was BELIEVED to be in Al Qaeda. But the kid did absolutely nothing, and really, even if he did do something wrong, he should've had a traditional trial. You're literally disregarding our Supreme Law of the Land (the Constitution and Obama does too. As an American, freedom has a lot more to offer than government. The government can never protect everyone, it can take hours for cops to respond to "shots fired" calls. You never replied to my other post, so I brought up similar points (in a different context.) But if you say you don't support government being above the law, why would you support a government which believes it is above the Constitution? The Obama administration fought for the "right" to detain American citizens indefinitely, without trial, on government suspicion alone. This is a disgusting abuse of power. You say you don't support it, but isn't it the same thing to support a politician that does support it? If you believe that- Why do you support government having guns, but not regular citizens? If the government wasn't above the law, the country would be in much better shape. Imo, it is government which has twisted the laws in favor of an economic structure built around the elite, and Liberalism does nothing to stop it. Plus, Obama is one of the biggest WalStreet puppets alive. You calim he cares about the poor and all this. But he's a 1%er, that passes laws in favor of other 1%ers. This Healthcare bill is merely a way to monopolize healthcare, and raise prices for the few insurance companies who sponsored the bill. I think you need to re-examine your views, and determine how endless spending, printing and taxing will fix a system which has been destroyed by all these things.
First off, I'll invite all world leaders to the white house, lock the doors with guards standing by--and pass out de spliffs for about two hours. Then and only then--would we get into the world situation. I'd have 'em going---" man, did I really say that." Well that's not right. I'd like to apologize to everyone." Or-" NO---I KILLED THOSE--well --we stop that right now.----you get the idea. Everyone would come out laughing and smiling and --voila (or viola for you musicians) A NEW WORLD ORDER!!!!!!!!! Then comes the L at the next meeting. OH YEAH! Changes we can believe in.
You can read however you'd like to read. I really feel sorry for you and other Liberals who have to resort to inaccurate and mostly immature name calling, as a last line of defense for your views. I Notice there's no mention of Obama's hypocrisies, or the fallacies in the Liberal ideology. Only that you picture me as some stupid redneck. That just proves you're stereotyping American politics, with very little understanding of it. I am a New Yorker, I don't sound like Yosemite. But, I read the Constitution when I was 16 years old, and have a keen understanding of it. You don't know it, or don't care, but you've made it very clear you think the government can violate it, and people should remain quiet and complacent. And you're just proving my point, and making yourself look worse by trying to duck and dodge the facts. Most of what Obama does is bad, and you've yet to refute that either.
I wish for your sake , you'd lighten up some. We were joking around. This obsession with our current bought and paid for president is going to harm your health, IMO.
I think I'll pick the voice that Steve Martin used in "The Jerk". Can you hear it? "I was once a poor little conservative Republican black child..."
I don't agree with a lot of what STP says, but I don't know how you guys aren't upset that the US government killed a 16 year old American with a missle just because his dad (who was already dead at the time of the son's killing) made youtube videos telling people to hurt America.
I don't know anybody who investigates the life story of each and every person who has any involvement with a US military operation. How could anybody do that and have a regular job? Anything military is always extremely messy, and mistakes are always made. That's one reason why no military action should ever be taken lightly. I don't think it will ever work for the public to try to micro-manage the details of a war, with the advantage of hindsight.
You don't know if those were his intentions. I realize you were joking. I noticed he purposely picked the redneck, meanwhile, I just recently moved to GA. Obama will be out of office in two more years (thank god.) But it wont matter much, cause the next guy will probably be paid for by the elites, and another total puppet. But Obama deserves blame like Bush does. It's not an obsession with any person, I'm obsessed with individual freedom- something which Obama actively opposes- that's why I don't like him. I can take a joke, but that one imo, was intended to insult me. That means, he is more interested in putting me down, than defending his beliefs in his words. Idc though, this just makes me less likely to try to converse with Liberals in the future, since I know most cant defend their views and resort to name-calling or drastic assumptions.
They could be a journalist, and then that is their regular job. The story of Anwar Al-Awlaki and his son, Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, is very well know. It doesn't take much research for someone to educate themselves about it. I'd also like to point out that the US is not at war with Yemen, where the strikes both occurred. Jeremy Scahill, an investigative journalist who has recently joined with Glenn Greenwald and the founder of e-bay to create a new journalist-driven media company, has researched the US drone wars extensively. His film Dirty Wars (available on Netflix) and the accompanying book by the same name are well worth reading for anyone who really wants to know how this stuff works. From an article Scahill published in the Nation: It is also important to remember that the US government has never actually given a reason for killing Anwar Al-Awlaki, and journalists have never been able to uncover any crimes he has committed other than making youtube videos that encourage attacks on America. Was he a good person? Absolutely not. Should he have been punished? Quite possibly, but he should have been given a trial, and from what I've read I just don't believe that he could not have been apprehended and arrested if they had chosen to do so. It was easier to just fire a missile, kill an American citizen, and then move on.
Does anyone need a reason for limiting western islamification? Drastic legislation is needed in this country , much like Suisse , to limit islamic immigration. Furthurmore , mecca , needs to warned of a questionable existance in the event of another attack. Internment camps for non-citizens might be a comfortable option. canadiens have been known to welcome such undesirables with both open arms and wallets.
yes, I-camps. Non-citizens are guests nothing more. Not entitled to the rights that you and I and our parents fought and pay for. When these "guests" become "unruly" ; they need to be chastised. 19 "guests" attacked this country , more lives were lost than at the Pearl. If careful border tactics were in place on the fateful day ; we would not be having this conversation.
