Loving foreign music where you live!!

almost the only music with vocals i can stand, other then filk and occasionally some celtic, which is sort of almost filk in its own way, is when the vocals are in some other language that i don't know.

I just saw this one from Canada..but the voice is, um, VERY familiar somehow. A 16 year old boy is somehow channeling Elvis??

most music videos i find disappointing. seldom do they resemble the images the music conjures in my own imagination listening to it. and what the hell is with all the ugly faces of human musicians waving their egos at us in them?

 

Music videos seriously influence the associations you have with a song. Almost all the generic pop hits are as much loved because of the fashion of the artists and how cool they can make their video clip look than just the music itself. Seems to count for a lot of asian pop as well. Yay for globalization
