I was at the memorial :)! Was really lovely and was in tears

Look, South Africa DOES have it's problems. And having lived in the UK, Dubai and having visited America - I would NEVER immigrate. Yes, our government is skilled in the art of fuckery - but you wont find people as genuine as South Africans anywhere else in the world. Our weather is great, we have the most beautiful landscape and the widest variety of wild life - we have a lot of freedom too (a side effect of a lazy government - but it is nice. Imagine being able to walk down any street smoking blunt out in the open and having no issues with anyone). And despite spending a lot of time "kuiering" (South African word for party/get-together) we tend to not suck TOO much (the first heart transplant was done here in SA by a South African). So whilst you mofos can't say "terrorist" on the interwebs without the NSA blowing down your door - we can take the day off from work (because SA is on a permanent go-slow and most employers here are pretty lax with you leave), it takes us 15min to drive from City Central and through Suburbia to end up in the veld where we can sit on the back of a "bakkie" (pick up truck) and smoke a big fat joint (because marijuana grows anywhere you plant it here in SA - the weather is optimum for it) whilst watching some lions/wildebeest/impala go by. And we can do it all in eleven official languages

No hate on all other countries. We might not be the richest - but people are happy, we have each other. Would your entire country band together for 10 days of mourning if your previous president/PM died? As far as I'm concerned, I'd rather live in a 3rd world country and have privacy and freedom - than live somewhere first world where parliament shuts down over a medical care program and where you get chucked in jail for having pot on you

    RIP Tata Madiba! Hamba Kahle!

Depends where you work with the whole leave thing, and your income bracket. Leave for a lot of people is a dream, and especially with the current food prices I have NO idea how most of the country are still alive...
Also depends where you smoke your blunts..

But other than that, fuck yeah :2thumbsup:

That's all well and good. :)

But what the rest of us would really like to see is the passage that you posted conveyed to us by Mandela's sign language interpreter.
