hmm...one of the nicest things I can remember is a friend of mine coming to handle my dead cat because I couldn't. I'm not good with that kind of thing.

Nowadays it's just the ability to have a real, honest talk, text or chat session and we all feel like we can be completely transparent about anything with each other. Doesn't mean I really share everything with them, but I know I could. There is no judgement or expectations, we don't have to have everything or even many things in common. I love that they are truly honest with me, despite what I might want to hear and yet they're not rude. They want the best for me and so do I for them.

same here. I don't put a lot of pressure on my friendships. I understand that some of my friends are a lot of fun and others are the kind of friend you call when you're going through a tough time. One type of friend is there to help you through your darkest days and the other type is there to take you drinking when you're ready to start living again.

My buddy has a thing in his car that he has to blow into because he got an OWI. So we just went to get him because we knew he would want to hang out and have a few beers. We could get him home and that was no problem. He knows damn near everything there is to know about what we had going on. I/he fixed the problem and I had no problem hitting him up with some good IPAs and a ride home. I'm very thankful that he came over to help me. We both smelled like sewage when we got done. :)

Im a non-drinker but go to parties and throw them often. I hate it when people drive drunk when I always tell them when they show or I bump into, I WILL DRIVE YOU HOME FOR FREE, Don't chance it.

I don't care who it is or where I have to go. If they look out of shape ill block them in or take out two valve stems to prevent them. Might sound like an asshole, But it could save their or others life's.

Plus, Its never the DRUNK who gets killed in a alcohol related accident, Its the passengers and the other car/truck/family etc you plow into.

I also don't like the way the states rape people for the offence, So when I explain you will loose, You will pay minimum here $2500 +/- and even if you fight it and win, You are still walking for 6-12 months.

But its the last thing honestly, Id rather have safe roads for all.

I'm EXACTLY the same way. I rarely drink (as in maybe 2-3 times a year). I'm ALWAYS the DD. One of my best friends was killed by a drunk driver in 2001. I'm very sensitive to that now. I host a lot of parties and on many occasions I will be the drunk bus at the end of the night driving everyone home. I will even pick them up the next day to come back to get their car if they need it. I've been known to go to a bar and take keys from my brother in law and steal his truck so he HAS to call me to pick him up. I don't tolerate drinking and driving. Everyone in my life knows that they can call me from anywhere except jail after being picked up for drunk driving and I will come and get them and not say a word to make them feel bad about it.

Sweet! I'm calling you next time I need a ride in DSM! ;)

But seriously...that's pretty cool of you. Two beers is my limit for driving unless I'm somewhere for a long time. Then I might have 3 beers over 4 or 5 hours. My wife drove our friend home last night.

Well, I have some friends but I don't think I would not trust my 'truest' friends to fix my raw sewage problem.

We should hire you to drive the band bus! ;)

I always get screwed into driving the bus. I guess it's ok though.

A true friend sticks by you and cheefully ignores
bad stuff happening in your life..like family troubles.

Keeps treating you the same way.

    Won't repeat gossip about you.

I have several of those, but they're mostly childhood friends I knew growing up in Haiti.

But I have PLENTY of "fair weather" friends

Haha I could be your roadie but without heavy lifting. :) I drive everywhere all the time. I have a difficult time giving up that control plus I get bored in the passenger seat.
