I ended up going back out today for a couple of things I forgot. I had no idea wool socks are such a ripoff! But I'm done....now for the wrapping if I can convince myself to get off my ass and do it.

:2thumbsup: I'm excited for your Christmas. I am working on cleaning my house but I keep getting distracted.

I made all my gifts with the exception of a few. Still have one to finish before tomorrow. And I get to host my family's Christmas this year...oh joy. Lol.

I'm done wrapping...finally. I only had to wrap 4 things but one was tiny so....just to be funny...I put it in a small box, wrapped it, plastered it entirely with clear shipping tape, the kept putting it in bigger and bigger boxes, wrapping each box before putting it into the next box. So she will have to open 6 boxes to get to the taped box. :sunny:

And I didn't bother wrapping stocking stuffers.

I save all the local newspapers throughout the year, and just before Christmas I go through them and cut what I'll need to wrap presents in. I wrap the presents for the people I don't care much about in the obituary sections and the cover page car accident photos.

EDIT: Oh wait a minute! That's my evil twin that does that. Sometimes I get the two of us confused.

Nice. Did you buy that for yourself (I wouldn't blame ya) or someone else?

Nice!!!! My parents did that to me one year for my birthday. They had it wrapped so many times it ended up being in a 32 gallon garbage bag. The gift was a New Kids on the Block cassette tape.

I saw them when they were at the fair in 1990ish. I'm ok with it. I was....11 or 12??? I think it was right before I went into 6th grade. I'm sure its not the most embarrassing concert I've been to. I've been a concert goer for as long as I can remember. I have some "friends" on facebook that are still totally into them. To the point that its a little creepy.

She was probably pretty young too. I was never into that kind of show but...to each their own...it's cool if it's your thing. I started listening to the Dead in 85 or so and it kind of changed music for me.

That wasn't all I was into. I got totally into the hair bands too. I saw most of them. Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Poison, Damn Yankees, Jackyl, etc. I saw Cheap Trick when I was about 8 or 9. I saw Johnny Cash when I was little too. Once I was about 13 I started to go to shows with my friends without parents. I saw the Ramones when I was 13 I think. That's pretty badass. I also saw Suicidal Tendencies. I saw Metallica a handful of times. Once I was in 7th or 8th grade I started to get into harder stuff. All that pop stuff was a thing of the past. Once I was in high school it was more Alternative/Punk. I've been mostly a punk fan since high school.

Selfish me... I bought it for myself.

You weren't around the forums last year but between Yule and New Years last year I lost pretty much everything in a house fire. I'm gonna salvage the hardware off my old Frankenstein bass and use it on this body... The fact that this one is a '73 would be a bonus... Back in 1973 in high-school I was supposed to begin learning bass. (didn't happen until ten years after that, in '85, but I still look back to early 70's as formative years)

So in part it is a Yule present to myself and in part "insurance replacement" for lost personal property.

Ah...dude...sorry to hear that. I don't blame you a bit. I have quite a few guitars but the one I play the most is a one of a kind, hand made guitar built from raw materials gathered in my area. There isn't another one exactly like it in the world and I'd be super bummed if I ever lost it. I don't even know how many shows I've played with that guitar.
